Arven’s Battle Strategy in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Once you find and defeat all five Titans, Arven will challenge you to a final battle to conclude the Path of Legends story. This is much more challenging than their encounter at the beginning of the game, so make sure you come equipped with strong equipment!
Pokemon | Level | Guy | Weaknesses |
---|---|---|---|
green | 58 | Normal | Struggle |
Garganacl | 62 | Rock | Fight, Grass, Earth, Steel and Water |
Scovillan | 60 | Grass/Fire | Flying, Poison and Rock |
toes | 61 | Soil/Grass | Insect, fire, flight and ice |
cloister | 59 | Frozen water | Electric, Fighting, Grass and Rock |
mabostiff | 63 | DarkTerra Type: Dark | Bug, Fairy and Fight |
For defeating Arven, you will win 12,600 prize money.
If you want a stronger counter for Arven’s Pokémon, then it is highly recommended to bring a Fighting-type for openers Greedent and Garganacl, and closers Cloyster and Mabosstiff.
As for the middle two, Scovillain and Toedscreul, they both have a weakness to Flying.
That said, you’ll also want to have some backups in case you get caught off guard; therefore, it is worth having a Plant type on standby for Garganacl and Cloyster in particular.
Finally, you should know that it is Mabosstiff who will terastalize into a Dark type to close the battle. If you have a strong Fairy type there, that will work easily.
Regardless, you’ll want gear leveled in the 60s to ensure Arven is manageable, even if you focus on weaknesses at all times.
Once this is done, the Path of Legends story is complete! If you have not already done so, you will be told that you need more support to progress. If it’s not clear, that means finishing the Victory Road and Starfall Street stories, before moving on to the end of the game.
