Elden Ring Sacred Tear locations

Elden Ring Sacred Tear locations

Getting Holy Tears in Elden Ring will increase the recovery of any flask you are using.

There are two types of flasks you can use, Flask of Crimson Tears (red) to recover HP and Flask of Cerulean Tears (blue) to recover FP which is used for skills such as weapon skills and summoning ash spirits.

There are two types of upgrades to get more of these flasks: Golden Seeds to increase the usage of the flasks and Sacred Tears to increase the power of the flasks. It is the latter that we will focus on on this page, analyzing the locations of the Sacred Tears, enough to improve them completely.

It’s also worth knowing that there is a third type of Flask, the Flask of Wondrous Physick, which requires Crystal Tears to customize.

Elden Ring Side Quests for Beginners – Side Quests You Need to Do

How to strengthen jars with Holy Tears

As you increase your HP by increasing your Vigor stat or your FP by increasing your Mind stat, you’ll want to make sure your Flask uses are more effective; Ideally, you want a single use to completely fill your gauges. To do this, you can strengthen the flask charges by finding Holy Tears.

Fortunately, the Sacred Tears are easy to locate, as they are always found in a church at the foot of a statue in front. Some of them even have a handy Site of Grace, although be aware that some can also be fraught with danger.

Once you have one, rest at a Place of Grace, select Flasks from the menu and you will have the option to permanently increase the amount replenished by flasks.

Being a huge open world, you can reach a Sacred Tear in a different order, so we’ve divided their locations into each part of the Lands Between…

Limgrave Sacred Tear Locations

Third Church of Marika

This will probably be the first one you’ll come across, although instead of following the main path west of Castle Stormveil, you’ll need to head east of Limgrave and cross a bridge. Continue along the main path and you will reach the church and also the Sitio de Gracia.

Callú Baptismal Church

South of Limgrave is the Weeping Peninsula, climb to higher ground and you will reach Ailing Village. To the south of the town you will find the Callu Baptismal Church, although it is also filled with rats, so you will want to eliminate them first.

Pilgrimage Church

On lower ground north of Ailing Village (south of Lookout Tower Site of Grace is a good starting point), head west and you’ll cross a bridge. On the other side, you’ll see the church to the north, so go up there to get your next Holy Tear and also activate another Site of Grace.

Fourth Church of Marika

This church is west of the Llantos Peninsula. In fact, you can see its spire in the distance when you leave the Pilgrimage Church and look to the southwest. Continue straight towards it, passing an evergaol and Witchbane Ruins, to reach it. Just be sure to take care of the two headless spirit soldiers guarding the entrance. A Sacred Tear and a Site of Grace await you further inside.

Locations of the Sacred Tears of Liurnia

Church of Irith

Just as you leave Castle Stormveil and head towards Liurnia, there is a Place of Grace called Lake-Facing Cliffs. The Church of Irith is directly ahead on the lower ground, where you will find your next Holy Tear.

Bellum Church

You will find this church northwest of the forest on the main path to the Great Elevator of Dectus.

Altus Plateau Sacred Tears Locations

Second Church of Marika

From Grace, the Altus Highway junction, head north (directly north instead of following the road). You will soon reach the church on lower ground, although it is safe to go down. However, be aware that as you get closer you will be invaded by a bloody finger.

stormcaller church

From the Rampartside Path Site of Grace, which you will find northwest of the outer wall, head southwest and you will find a site with stone sword tombs and thunderstorms. At the end you will see the church. It’s guarded by a couple of soldiers, but they’re not much of a problem.

Once you’ve decided on a starting class and a starting keepsake item, you first need to figure out how to level up, how to respec, and how to use Ashes of War. Do you need any directions from there? Our Elden Ring walkthrough and Elden Ring boss order can help you know where to go next, but we also recommend looking for Golden Seeds, Sacred Tears, Crystal Tears, Talismans, and some of our top weapon and armor picks. If you are nearing the end of the game, we can help you with the Volcano Manor and Rykard quest, the Haligtree Secret Medallion locations, solving Ordina, the Liturgical Town puzzle, Millicent’s quest, Commander Niall, Morgott, Godskin Duo , Maliketh and Malenia.

Locations of the Mountains of Sacred Tears of the Giants

Marika First Church

This church can be found south of the large frozen lake, home to spirit jellyfish and a huge boss dragon that will darken the area with mist. But unless you want to fight it as you are, you can continue heading south from the Freezing Lake Site of Grace to reach the church.

Church of Rest

From Foot of the Forge Site of Grace, instead of heading to fight the boss in front of you, head west where you will see the church, although you will also have to fight a rather complicated red okina. However, if you beat it, you will find the last Holy Tear in the church, as well as a Site of Grace.

Good luck upgrading your flasks in Elden Ring!
