Solving the puzzle of Ordina, the liturgical city in Elden Ring is a curveball that must be overcome in an optional area at the end of the game.
After finding the halves of Haligtree’s Secret Medallion, discovering how to break the Ordina seal, Liturgical Town will allow you access to Miquella’s Haligtree.
Not only does it allow you to complete Millicent’s quest, but it also means you can take on Malenia, the toughest boss in Elden Ring.

How to Solve the Elden Ring Ordina Puzzle, Liturgical Village
Once you’ve reached the consecrated snowfield, there’s still one more thing you need to do before you can access Miquella’s Haligtree.
However, if you’ve been following Latenna’s questline, you can also take her to the church ruins in the northwest of the map called Apostate Derelict, which will allow you to obtain a Grim Ancient Dragonsmithing Stone.
In addition, it is not far from the place you should go: Ordina, Liturgical Town.
Ordina is a ghost town (with real ghosts that are harmless).
On the north side you’ll see some steps leading to a door, but you’ll need to illuminate four figures in the city before the path opens. The figures look like the one shown below:
However, these torches do not appear normally. Instead, you must enter a portal that will take you to the city evergaol, which is the entire city rather than a small arena like other evergaosl.
Ordina’s Evergaol is populated with tough enemies, including a Black Knife assassin on the ground who is invisible and will deal you a very nasty hit that will be enough to kill you if you’re not at full health.
Therefore, you should plan your route in normal Ordina before entering evergaol. Fortunately, torches that have been lit stay lit even if you die, so there is no need to light all four torches at once.

We’ve marked the torch locations in the image below, numbered in order of the best route to light each torch from the beginning of evergaol.
This will be most useful to you if you pick up the Consacred Snowfield map fragment before reaching Ordina.
1. This is where you will start when you enter Evergaol.
2. Immediately jump onto the balcony in front of you and run towards the building in front of you. To your right, next to the stairs, you should see a ladder to the side.
Jump off the balcony and then climb the ladder. There will be enough ladder on the roof to take you to where the first figure is.
3. Your next figure will be another tall structure northeast of where you are. Go back to the roof and you should see it in front of you.
You’ll have to jump across some other rooftops to reach it, but there’s also an albinaural archer shooting at you, so you’ll have to try to avoid them before climbing the ladder to illuminate the next figure.
4. The next figure is further west and you won’t be able to comfortably jump across the next few rooftops to reach it.
Instead, return to ground level and look for the wall ruins shown below.
You can use this wall as a platform to reach the nearby rooftops. When you reach the buildings in the western part of the city, some parts of the structure will be too high for you to jump, so jump onto the chimneys first to gain additional height.
You will eventually find a ladder around the top of the building that will take you up to the figure.

5. The last figure is the easiest since it is at ground level. Technically you could do this first, but it feels better to eliminate the tough ones the first way, right?
From the last figure just go down to the ground and head directly east to the figure in a corner where there are steps. Just be careful not to get ambushed by the lurking assassin.
You will receive a notification when all the figures have powered up and they will be automatically transported back to the normal city, but this time the seal blocking your path to the northern stairs has been removed.
Go through and you will find a portal that will take you to Miquella’s Haligtree.
Now that you have reached this secret location, it is only the beginning, as even more difficult challenges await you. Good luck getting to the bottom and get ready to face Malenia!
