Starting the list with this one is nothing less than a perfect idea. Search engine giant Google wants to get creative with Bard, not only making it available in English in around 180 countries and territories around the world, but also breaking new ground by launching support for Korean and Japanese. The goal is to support 40 languages in the near future.

Additionally, Bard also comes with a new ability to display images in Bard’s responses. Not to be missed is that Google is also shaking hands with Adobe to get some art generation capabilities through Bard. According to some reports, Bard users will be able to generate images through Firefly. They can then modify them with the help of Express. Users will be able to select from templates, stock images, templates, and other resources within Bard from the Express library.

AI is impacting almost everything today, and Google’s Workspace suite is no exception. With AI touching Google’s Workspace suite, we can expect a smarter user experience, along with the ease of automatic table generation (without formula) in Sheets. Users can also expect image generation in Meet and Slides. However, the automatic table is simpler to start with, but many testers and technology writers say there is much more to come related to AI-generated formulas. The new Meet and Slides features will incorporate the ability to type in the visualization way one aspires, and the rest of the work will be done by AI; In simpler terms, AI will create that image. For Google Meet, this can also mean custom backgrounds.

Google’s latest Large Language Model (LLM) is one of the most exciting features coming. PaLM 2 will power Open AI competitor ChatGPT, Google’s updated Bard chat tool. The PaLM 2 will serve as the base model for almost all of the new AI features Google has announced. PaLM 2 also offers improved support for debugging and writing code.

Google’s Firebase, the backend services platform for use by app developers, comes with some interesting new features. These features include the addition of artificial intelligence extensions based on Google’s PaLM API. Additionally, the Firebase extensions market is also opening up to more developers.

Health connection

Google’s platform for storing health data may currently be in Beta. However, you can expect to see Health Connect on Android and other mobile devices by the end of the year.

google maps

Google Maps introduces a new “Immersive View for Routes” feature in some select cities. The new feature is designed to provide all the information the user may require in one place. Such information would include details on bike lanes, parking, intersections, traffic simulations and more.

MusicLM

MusicLM, Google’s new experimental artificial intelligence tool, is capable of converting text into music. For example, you can type “soulful music for an afternoon lunch” and the tool will effortlessly create a wide variety of versions of the song.

code

Codey is Google’s new code generation and completion tool. Codey is one of the AI-based coding tools. The tool is capable of handling coding-related prompts.

Magic composition and magic editor

For complex edits on selected parts of images, AI-powered Google Magic Editor may be the best advancement coming your way. Users can now fill in gaps in the foreground and background of an image. Plus, repositioning your subject for a well-framed shot would now be easier than ever.

The new feature, Magic Compose, is also interesting and will help users rewrite texts in interesting styles in messages and conversations. For example, this feature is capable of making any particular message sound more professional, so you don’t get into awkward conversations in the workplace.

Google search

Search has now introduced two additional features that encourage better understanding of the content, along with the context of the images you may be viewing in search results. The new features include additional, relevant information about the image with a feature called “About this image,” along with new markups in the file. This will allow images to be labeled as “AI generated.”

These features are currently in the works. The features will offer better transparency and clarity on whether the image you are seeing is credible or AI-generated. This is a step towards solving the problem of AI image misinformation.

Google is also trying several experiments with an AI-powered conversational mode. Through this, users will be able to see suggested next steps during a search. Additionally, a snapshot of the relevant AI-powered information will also be displayed, along with links to more detailed information about the context. When a user taps the suggested next step, Google Search will take them to a new conversation mode. In this mode, the user can request additional information from Google related to the topic they are searching for. The context will jump from one question to another, thus facilitating the entire search process.

A new “Insights” filter has also been introduced, which will soon appear at the top of some search results, in situations where the results would benefit from the expertise of others, such as, according to Google, posts on Q&A sites, discussion forums, social media platforms and more.
