How to prepare for the Fire Giant
Preparing for the Fire Giant boss fight is a fairly simple process. Firstly, you’ll want to make sure you’ve taken all possible protective measures against Fire damage, for example equipping the Flamedrake Talisman in your Talisman slots.
You’ll also want to make sure you have a strong melee weapon on hand, something like the Bloodhound’s Fang works great for big hits and damage that builds up over time.
Tips from the Fire Giant: How to beat the Fire Giant
Fighting the Fire Giant is all about timing your dodge rolls perfectly. Take the opening salvo as an example. The Fire Giant will commonly use his huge disc to send a tidal wave of snow towards you, but if you dodge the attack just as the Fire Giant advances his shield, you will avoid the attack entirely.
Lock on to the Fire Giant’s left foot as you approach and hit him with a strong melee weapon whenever you get the chance. The Fire Giant commonly lifts his leg, only to have it fall and the shield falls to the ground a second later.
Initiate a dodge roll as soon as the leg comes down and you’ll avoid the attack again.
Basically, this fight is about cutting off the Fire Giant’s leg whenever possible. When you’ve dealt enough damage, the boss will groan in agony and roll away from you, opening its own stomach to shoot. The boss can now throw fire orbs at you!
The trick here is that if the Fire Giant’s palm is facing up when he casts a fire spell, he will send a slow-burning orb towards you, but if his palm is facing down, a rapid fire spear will shoot towards you. .

Ancient Fire Giant Cheese Method

ORIGINAL CHEESE STRATEGY: If you were looking for a way to make Fire Giant cheese, we have good news. There is actually a technical way to make the boss kill itself, using a little trick with fall damage.
First, head to the back right corner of the arena at the top of Torrent, where the terrain is higher than anywhere else on the battlefield. You will notice that there is a rock platform protruding from the ground you are on.
When the Fire Giant is within reach, jump off the sand around the rock platform, going around it clockwise, and jump again using Torrent’s double jump feature to land on the ground directly in front of and below it. you.
Then, simply run a few feet near the edge of the sand and you’ll find a small rock outcropping that you can crouch behind to hide.
The Fire Giant will eventually climb up to the platform you were next to previously and then jump towards you. Only when the boss lands will he take a metric ton of damage, leading to phase two of the fight.
