How to Start Reede’s Secret in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To start the Reede’s Secret side quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must first have started and completed the Team Cece or Team Reede quest. Once you have done this, you will need to find Clavia, Reede’s wife.

The easiest way to find Clavia is to visit her and Reede’s house at (3432, -2086, 0131), right next to the Hateno Inn during the night or early in the morning, as she will almost always be there. If you want to find her during the day, you’ll have to look around Hateno, as she often wanders around the town.

When you find her, talk to her to find out that Reede locks herself in her shed every night working on something mysterious. He wants you to find out what it is and gives you two valuable pieces of information on how to get into the shed.

How to get into Reede’s shed in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Thanks to Clavia, you now know that you can’t enter the shed through the front door and that Reede definitely won’t be there at noon. Now before you do anything else, place a marker on your map above Reede’s Shed, this will come in handy later.

To enter Reede’s Shed, you must find Hateno Village North Well. This is north of Reede’s house (if you look for the field where two goats are grazing, you will find the well).

We’ve marked its exact location on the map below, and the coordinates of Hateno Village’s north shaft are (3421, -2031, 0136).

When you find the well, dive into it and then look west. You should find that a set of rocks are blocking your path. Simply use Ultrahand to take them out (or you can fuse one with a melee weapon if you wish).

Once you’ve moved the rocks, follow the path forward until you’re notified that you’re in Hateno West Well. Don’t worry, you are not lost, this is the right path.

Once you’re in the pool, continue following the path forward and around until you see a large set of rocks blocking the path again. When you see this, stand at these exact coordinates (3413, -2083, 0104).

If you’ve placed a marker on your map, you should be able to see that you are directly below Reede’s Shed. Now make sure it’s noon. If not, light a fire and skip time to noon.

Once it’s noon, use Ascend to appear at Reede’s Shed. If you’ve timed it right, it won’t be there. If you arrive at the wrong time, he will kick you out.

If the shed is empty, read the newspaper on the desk and then leave through the front door. So all you need to do is find Clavia again and talk to her. Once you tell her what’s going on, she’ll reward you with 10 delicious Hylian Tomatoes.

That’s it for Reede’s secret! If you need a break from Hateno Politics, why not look for more materials? We have guides that show you how to get Bomb Flowers (a useful accessory for arrows or to throw at enemies) and one that also shows you how to get Ancient Blades.
