How to access the Diablo 4 beta

To get early access to the Diablo 4 beta, you must pre-order the game. It doesn’t matter which edition you pre-order, as you’ll get early beta access with any of them.

If you live in the United States, you can also participate in a rather strange collaboration and purchase a KFC Double Down burger before the promotion ends on March 18 to get an early access code to the beta.

What is included in the Diablo 4 beta?

It looks like the beta will give us a proper look at many different parts of Diablo 4!

Here are the highlights of what’s included in the Diablo 4 beta:

  • Prologue and the entire story of Act 1.
  • The first area, Fractured Peaks, is available to explore.
  • Three character classes in the Early Access beta: Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer.
  • Five characters in beta available to everyone: Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer, Druid and Necromancer.
  • Your character can reach level 25.
  • You can create a maximum of 10 characters per Battle.net account.
  • Dungeons.
  • Missions of ‘the locals’.
  • Lots of loot!
  • You can play co-op with another player on consoles (your account does not need to have access to the current beta).
  • Up to 4-player co-op while playing online (each account must have access to the current beta version).
  • Gain 5% bonus experience for killing enemies in co-op and 10% if you are near a party member.
  • Ashava World Boss during set dates and times.

You can fight Ashava during the beta at:

  • Saturday, March 18 at 10:00, 12:00, 22:00 and midnight (PDT)
  • Saturday, March 25 at 10 am, 12 pm, 10 pm and midnight (PDT)

So in the UK, you’ll be able to fight Ashava on Saturday March 18 at 5pm and 7pm, Sunday March 19 at 5am and 7am, and Saturday March 25 and Sunday March 26 at the same time.

Finally, it’s important to note that while progress will carry over from Early Access beta accounts to the open beta for everyone, all characters created during these weekends will be removed once the beta ends, so that you will not be able to use them in the full version.

Diablo 4 Beta Rewards

For playing the Diablo 4 beta and completing the set challenges, you will receive some cosmetic rewards once the full game is released.

Here are the beta challenges and what they reward:

If there was ever a reward that would entice us to play the beta, it would be carrying a sleeping wolf pup on our backs.
