The Uzume RR4 from Destiny 2 is an iconic sniper rifle that has returned to Destiny 2.
Returning from the depths of the first Destiny, Uzume RR4’s legacy began in The Taken King expansion. He received some changes to his potential upside, but overall remained an intriguing sniper in the middle of the pack.
He remained in the shadows since then, but it is time for his triumphant return.
Debuting in Destiny 2 during Season of the Splicer alongside Vex Mythoclast, Plug One.1, Hung Jury SR4, and Fatebringer, the Uzume RR4 is a possible drop during Nightfall Strikes. As it stands, it’s a powerful weapon that you’ll want to pursue if you like sniping.

Remember, it’s just a chance to go down, and the higher the difficulty, the better your chances.
As a legendary weapon, one would be led to believe that the drop should be more regular than some exotics. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
Drop rates remain arbitrary at best and developer Bungie has yet to provide official information on the matter. Relying on luck is something Destiny players are already used to, but currently, Nightfall weapons have been quite elusive. Reddit user i-dont-grok-it completed over 30 Nightfall raids in the span of a week, about half on Hero difficulty and half on Legend difficulty, for a chance to unlock the Hung Jury weapon. . But they were not lucky in this regard.

Bungie’s recommendation is to increase the difficulty to have a higher chance of spawning. Starting Tuesday, June 22, Grandmaster Nightfall will be available in Season of the Splicer; This means that an Adept version of this weapon is also available (thanks to DstinyNewsLatam on Twitter for the images above and in the next section).
It may still be rare, but in theory, your chances should be better on such a high difficulty.

Uzume RR4 Divine Roll Recommendation in Destiny 2
Uzume RR4 is a randomized weapon, meaning that every time you get one, the barrel, bullets, and perks will be randomized.
Finding the “best” combination of features and benefits is tricky, as it will vary depending on your tastes and the mods you have in mind for the weapon. Some will be great for PvP, while others will excel in PvE. The community calls these “god scrolls”, mainly due to their great power and how they further increase the capabilities of each weapon, or compensate for some that might be missing a buff to be optimal with the rest.
Here’s our recommended Uzume RR4 divine roll in Destiny 2:
- Extended barrel or hammer-forged rifle
- Curized rounds or attached magazine
- Clown cartridge or instant sights
- vorpal weapon
Let’s start with the advantages. Vorpal Weapon sees an increase in damage against bosses, ‘vehicles’ and guardians with its super active. This can be useful in both PvP and PvE, the latter hitting not only bosses but also any enemies with yellow health bars. So the Clown Cartridge is no joke, as reloading the gun has a random chance of overfilling it, increasing the number of rounds.
Otherwise, Snapshot Sights reduces the time to aim down sights, which is a preference some might prefer to the random nature of Clown Cartridge.
Many players have been looking for these combinations, and it is one of the most attractive when looking at the overall list of advantages.

Otherwise, Triple Tap, which returns 1 bullet to the magazine by quickly performing precision hits, is useful for PvP, while Explosive Payload can create area-of-effect explosions upon impact with each of your projectiles. We are excited about the idea.
From there, the good thing when it comes to the barrel is Extended Barrel or Hammer-Forged Rifling, as both are key to increasing the sniper’s range. Hammer-Forged’s +10 boost is great, while Extended Barrel also provides +10 recoil, but comes with -10 handling.
As for the rounds, Accurized Rounds are recommended. This roll offers even greater damage: if you manage to get it with the barrel extended, no enemy will be out of your sight. But if you focus primarily on PvE, Appended Mag increases the sniper magazine by 20, which is a considerable improvement.
As usual, once you have your preferred roll, be sure to upgrade it to Masterwork to give it a stat boost, the ability to spawn orbs on multiple kills, and add the option for a kill tracker.
