Control – Weapon Forms list, how to unlock and upgrade Special Weapon Forms

Weapon forms are upgrades to your service weapon, your primary weapon against the Hiss, in Control.

Each form changes the performance of the service weapon, allowing you to unleash a variety of attacks on your enemies. The Shatter form, for example, is perfect for attacking groups of approaching Hiss, while the Pierce form helps eliminate enemies that are protected by shields.

Just like creating Mods, you unlock new forms of weapons through Astral Constructs, which can be accessed at checkpoints.

How to unlock new weapon forms in Control

You unlock new forms of weapons by visiting a checkpoint and selecting astral constructs. From there, select Weapon Forms.

New forms of weapons will appear here as you progress through the Control story. Simply select the weapon form you want to unlock, as long as you have the necessary materials, of course.

Each weapon form costs a combination of energy source and materials.

The power source can be found by defeating the Hiss and deconstructing Mods.

While the various materials can be found by opening chests, defeating the Hiss, and completing board countermeasures. However, the material you receive will be selected at random, so don’t be surprised if you have to search for a specific ingredient.
