Finding the locations of all five video diaries will allow you to learn more about past events on Snaktooth Island, such as what may have happened to the missing explorer.

Lizbert’s Video Diaries Explained and How to Play Them in Bugsnax
Hidden on Snaktooth Island in Bugsnax, you can find Lizbert’s video diaries; Watching these videos will give you a useful idea of what happened on the island before her arrival.
There are five video diaries in total and each can be found after you have completed a certain part of the main story.
Once you’ve collected a video diary, head to Lizbert and Eggabell’s house in Snaxburg, where, in the first room, you’ll find a video projector.
You can play the video diaries by interacting with the video projector, selecting which video you want to watch, and then watching them on the screen in front.
Bugsnax Video Diary 1 Location Explained
Bugsnax’s first video diary is the easiest to find, as it is on the table right next to the projector.
Simply pick it up and pop it into the machine to find out what Lizbert recorded!
Explanation of how to open Lizbert’s cabinet and the location of video diary 2 in Bugsnax
To view the second video diary in Bugsnax, you will need access to Liz’s cabinet, which can be found in the same room as the projector. Unfortunately, however, it is blocked.
To find the key, you must persuade Beffica to return to Snaxburg, which can be easily completed once Filbo has guided you to the town.
Once she returns to the villager, you will have to interview her and after answering all your questions, she will give you the key to Liz’s cabinet.
You can now return to Liz and Eggabell’s house and open the cabinet, retrieving the video diary inside, so you can learn more about past events in Snaxburg.
Explanation of how to open Eggabell’s chest and the location of video diary 3 in Bugsnax
To get video diary three in Bugsnax, you must first open Eggabell’s chest, which is located inside her and Lizbert’s house.
However, before you can open this chest, you must first convince Chandlo and Snorphy to return to Snaxbury.
Upon his return, you’ll first want to interview Chandlo to get the key to Eggabell’s chest.
Now you just need to open the chest and retrieve the video diary.
Bugsnax Video Diary 4 Location Explained
Fortunately, this video diary isn’t locked in many cabinets or chests, but you’ll still have to convince several Grumpuses to return to Snaxburg to access it.
In total, you will need Wambus, Wiggle, Triffany, Gramble, and Beffica to have returned to Snaxburg. Once this happens you will be able to talk to Filbo to start the main mission of Ghost Stories.
Complete this quest to the end and the path to Sugarpine Woods will open.
Take this bridge to Sugarpine Woods.
Once you’re in the forest, head directly to your right, staying as close to the edge of the mountain as possible.
You will quickly come across a bag on the ground and next to it will be video diary number four.
How to Open Eggabell’s Safe and Video Diary Location 5 in Bugsnax Explained
Video Diary Five is the hardest video diary to find in Bugsnax, because you must convince the last two Grumpuses, Shelda and Floofty, to return to Snaxburg.
Shelda can be found in Sizzlin Sands and will want help connecting with nature. After convincing her to return to the village, be sure to interview her and she will reveal to you that she is in possession of Eggabell’s safe.
Meanwhile, Floofty is in Boiling Bay and will need help finishing his experiments. Remember to interview him upon his return to Snaxburg and he will give you the key to Eggabell’s safe.
You can return to Shelda’s pavilion and open the safe to find the final video diary.
