This article explains how to survive Laboratory Floor 2 in Bloodborne: The New Hunters.

With the brain creature (botanically inclined) behind you, move along the balcony. However, be careful of the sobbing mass in front of you: when you get close, it will attack you. This brain creature variant is a bit more feisty than its brethren, capable of leaping high into the air before crashing to the ground. However, despite its ferocity, the creature will only take a couple of hits to defeat. When it’s down, take the Frenzied Coldblood (9) from the corpse at the end of the balcony.
Grab the old hunter’s decorative equipment.
Retrace your steps along the path and head to the door marked “Lab Floor 2” on the right. On the other side, you’ll immediately be ambushed by two more frenzied brain creatures, so be prepared to dodge their attacks. When it’s safe to continue, grab the Old Hunter’s Decorative Outfit and Old Hunter’s Decorative Pants from the body at the back of the room and then go up the stone steps to the right. At the top, climb the metal ladder on the left.
You will exit back to the elevator room a little earlier. Approach the elevator on the left side of the room (opposite the one you used previously) and pull the lever to summon it. Once it arrives, go inside and go down to the lower level. At the bottom, enter the room ahead and approach the figure tied to the chair on the left. Talk to Saint Adeline (as the creature is known) and she will ask you to bring her some brain fluid.
Since you already have a batch of Brain Fluid in your inventory, you will be presented with the option to Give Brain Fluid. He delivers the goods and accepts Adeline’s offer to receive Adeline’s Blood. There are two more batches of brain fluid to find to complete this mission, so remember Adeline’s location for later. When you’re done, go through the door on the other side of the room and return to the ground floor of the Research Room.
Now that you’ve unlocked another shortcut to the Research Room lamp, retrace your steps and use the elevator again. When it stops, exit and take the elevator opposite to the highest balcony of the tower. On the balcony, go up the steps directly in front of it and then, once you reach the small central platform, go up the steps on the right. Take out the drip-wielding creature at the top and then climb the ladder at the end of the platform.
Kill the crow in the bell tower.
Once you reach the bell tower, go out onto the rafters and turn left. Turn left again at the second beam, moving towards the shiny object. Stop once you reach the junction and then slowly approach the item. As you get closer, a crow will drop from above. You’ll have to be very careful while fighting the crow, as it’s easy to lose your balance on the narrow beams (especially if you’re locked on to your target), and it’s very far below! Consider using a ranged weapon to deal with the crow, and then once it’s dead, grab the Wisdom of the Great One from the nearby corpse.
You’ll also find two rats patrolling the rafters who, by now, will probably be heading straight for you. Your next destination is the lighted window on the back wall. You can attack the rats to make them chase you (fighting them on the balcony below the window), or you can simply slide across the beams to escape them.
Once you’re under the window, talk to the brain creature that’s banging its head against the wall. Then, turn right along the platform and eliminate the crows in your path. Finally, take the piece of bloodstone from the corpse at the end of the platform.
Cross the beams and use the small ramp to reach the octagonal platform in the middle of the room. Once you’re in a safe position, locate the pole sticking out of the center column and interact with it, causing the entire ladder to rise into the air. Once the column has finished rising, head to the right, away from the window to the other side of the room.
Find the second batch of brain fluid for Santa Adelina
Walk along the wooden beam and turn left at the second cross section, continuing to the small platform ahead. Here you’ll find another creature with a pulsating brain, so beat it to recover the second batch of brain fluid for Saint Adelina.
To drop down from your new extra-high vantage point, return to the central platform and then walk along the beam to the left, moving towards the windows. Fight the crow at the end of the beam and then return to the platform below.
From here, follow the long beam behind the brain creature to the other side of the room. However, note that the ladder you originally climbed to reach this area is now inaccessible. Turn to the third beam on the right and drop down on the platform below. Once you land, watch for the ladder leading to the top of the bell tower, in case you need to return.
