Best Team Star base order for Starfall Street in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Starfall Street is one of three stories you’ll unlock during Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s opening chapter, The First Day of School.

It challenges you to raid Team Star bases spread across Paldea and defeat the bosses found within, but there’s more to this story than meets the eye.

While you’re free to attack any Team Star base you choose, there is the best Team Star base order in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which we outline below.

If you want to learn more about your adventure in Paldea, visit our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough.

Best Team Star Base Order: All Team Star crews and bosses in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are listed.

While Pokémon Scarlet and Violet allow you to raid Team Star bases in whatever order you choose, there is a preferred path to follow through Starfall Street’s story based on the set levels of your Pokémon.

This is the path we recommend taking in the Starfall Street story:

  1. Dark Crew and Giacomo from Team Star
  2. Fire Team and Team Star Mela
  3. Poison Crew and Atticus from Team Star
  4. Fairy Crew and Ortega from Team Star
  5. Fighting Crew and Eri from Team Star
  6. Battle outside the Academy
  7. Battle against the big boss of Team Star

Once you’ve defeated Team Star’s Big Boss, take the time to visit Principal Clavell in his office and, after a brief chat, leave the school. This will lead to a quick phone call and a small request that, when fulfilled, will bring an end to the Starfall Street story.

Remember: It’s a good idea to take the time to train your Pokémon while completing this story to ensure they don’t overpower you.

Our The Teal Mask walkthrough will help you complete the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, but make sure you know how to start it first. When visiting Kitakami it is a good idea to know how to get Sinistea, Dipplin and The Loyal Three. Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can take you through the main campaign, including The First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and, when you’re ready, The Way Home and the final boss. Elsewhere, we can help with the normal gym test secret item menu, version differences, the best scarlet and violet starter, XP farming, shiny Pokémon, and learning to fly, swim, climb, and run. When it comes to individual Pokémon, we can help with Gimmighoul, Ditto, Bellibolt, Pawmot, Scovillain, Frigibax, Brambleghast, Annihilape, Farigiraf, Dudunsparce, Lycanrock, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.

How the Starfall Street story works in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

To complete the Starfall Street story in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must first raid Team Star’s five bases and defeat the bosses inside. After you’ve disbanded the five members of Team Star, it’s time to return to the Academy, where two more Pokémon battles await you: one in front of the school and another against the big boss of Team Star!

It’s important to note that while Big Boss requests that you meet in the evening, the time will automatically change when you arrive at his location, so there’s no need to wait.

The open world nature of Scarlet and Violet means you can challenge Team Star Crews in any order you want. Just remember that your Pokémon’s levels are set and because of this, there is a preferred path to follow, which we outlined in the previous section. It’s also a good idea to train your Pokémon to make sure you don’t get overpowered by Team Star’s power.

Finally, you will be rewarded with a boss TM, league points, new TM crafting recipes, and a selection of materials for each Star Team base you defeat. However, the number of league points you receive is tied to the number of Team Star teams you have defeated, rather than a specific team.

Below you will find how many Team Star bases you must defeat to obtain each League Points reward:

  • 1 base: 5000 LP
  • 2 bases – 6,000 LP
  • 3 bases – 7,000 LP
  • 4 bases – 10,000 LP
  • 5 bases – 20,000 LP

Good luck defeating Team Star, and once you’ve finished this story, be sure to complete Victory Road and Path of Legends!
