The Battlefield 2042 open beta is available on two dates for all platforms and offers early access to people who pre-ordered the game.

ORIGINAL TIMES: The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta start times remain the same for both the Early Access and Open Public Beta periods. On all platforms, the start and end times are as follows:
- UK: 8am (BST)
- Europe: 9:00 a.m. (CEST)
- US East Coast: 3 am (EDT)
- US West Coast: 12:01 am (PDT)
The Battlefield 2042 end times on Sunday, October 10 are the same as those mentioned above.
Battlefield 2042 beta preload times and download size
In addition to the start times above, you can also start downloading the Early Access Beta early so you’re all set for when the game launches.
To access it, you just need to download the open beta from the PlayStation or Xbox store. If you’re on PC, the beta is available in the Steam, Origin, and Epic apps.
The Battlefield 2042 beta preload begins Tuesday, October 5 for all players at the following start times:

It’s worth noting that the PC version via Origin had an issue where the preload option wasn’t showing up correctly in the library. Additionally, the EA desktop app did not show the preload option for EA Play Subs.

Battlefield 2042 beta access explained
If you pre-order any edition, either digitally or through select retailers, you’ll get access to the Battlefield 2042 beta on Wednesday and Thursday before the open beta begins over the weekend.
However, if you don’t pre-order, you can still play the Battlefield 2042 beta; You just have to wait until Friday, October 8.
What does the Battlefield 2042 beta include?
The Battlefield 2042 beta includes the returning Conquest mode.
Conquest is a multiplayer sandbox mode that now offers up to 128 players on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The maps have been designed with this group of players in mind, so expect a large-scale space with multiple points of interest. As a modification to the previous iteration, you will now navigate sectors with multiple flags instead of searching for individual checkpoints.

In addition, the beta also offers a first look at Orbital, a new map that features the launch of a rocket, which slowly impacts the terrain itself.
Lastly, in case you’re wondering about the characters, you’ll be able to play as four specialists: Webster Mackay, Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky, and Wikus “Casper” Van Daele.
It’s worth mentioning that any progress you make during the beta will not carry over to the final game. Additionally, there are no specific cosmetic items or any other rewards for participating.
