How voting for the next Ealdorman of Lincolnscire works during Where the Stone Falls in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Eivor must choose the next Ealdorman of Lincolnscire in Chapter 4 of The Lay of Hunwald, mission Where the Stone Falls.

A young nobleman named Hunwald arrives in Ravensthorpe seeking Eivor’s help. His ill father, Hundbeorht, is being manipulated and has exiled his son from Lincolnscire. Hunwald needs help getting back to his father in Lincoln (A Noble Escort).

After arriving in Lincoln, Hunwald learns that his father has been taken and no one knows where (Homecoming). Bishop Herefrith and Sister Acha do not help in providing a possible location, so Eivor must investigate the disappearance alone (In the absence of an ealdorman).

Eivor’s search leads to the city’s sewers, where clues indicate that the Ealdorman set out for Bolingbroc Castle. At Bolingbroc Castle, Eivor makes a disheartening discovery: the ealdorman is dead.

Returning to Lincoln, Eivor tells Hunwald the news. Since the title of Ealdorman is not hereditary, there must be a Shiremoot, or a meeting of local lords.

To prepare for this, Eivor must meet with Aelfgar, a local thegn (The Thegn of Lincoln) and with a grieving Hunwald (Salve for a Fresh Wound). After meeting with Hunwald, he will begin the Shiremoot.

Vote for the decision of Hunwald, Aelfgar or Herefrith in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla explained

There are three men to consider for the position of Ealdorman: Aelfgard, Hunwald, and Bishop Herefrith.

Eivor must make a decision:

  • Thinking of Aelfgar…
  • Considering Hunwald…
  • Considering Herefrith…

How does voting for Hunwald, Aelfgar or Herefrith affect Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

You can choose between Aelfgar or Hunwald and the alliance with the Raven Clan will remain intact.

By choosing Aelfgar, Hunwald and his Danish lover, Swanburrow, will go with you to Ravensthorpe.

The election of Bishop Herefith brings the story arc to an end; however, he is also a member of the Order of the Ancients. This means that if you choose Herefrith, you will have to assassinate him later in the story.

However, if you choose Aelfgard or Hunwald, Herefrith will try to kill all the nobles in Shiremoot and you will have to assassinate him in his castle in Anecastre (A Sword-Shower in Anecastre).

When it comes to other story options in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we also have pages on Soma’s traitor, killing or sparing Leofrith, killing or sparing Reud, taking or leaving resources to England, whether you should hit Basim, whether you should tell Ubba. the truth about Ivarr’s death or the identity of Rollo’s traitor.
