As with the original Destiny, Fatebringer is tied to the Vault of Crystal raid.
The Fatebringer in Destiny 2 has a chance to drop after the third and fourth encounter in Vault of Glass. Specifically, once you’ve defeated the Templar and the Guardian, which are encounters that combine the Gorgon Labyrinth and the platforming puzzle, it’s possible that Fatebringer could drop.

Remember that, as with any raid loot, nothing is guaranteed and you should instead rely on luck. Fatebringer God Roll Recommendation in Destiny 2
Fatebringer is a randomized weapon, meaning that every time you get one, the barrel, bullets, and perks will be randomized.
While the “best” combination of rolls and perks will vary depending on taste and what you want to use the weapon for, there’s no doubt that some combinations are better than others. The community calls these “god scrolls” mainly because of their power, but we also imagine because of the “divine” luck it takes for that combination to land.
Here’s our recommended Fatebringer god roll in Destiny 2:
- Corkscrew rifling or hammer forged rifling
- Curized rounds or tactical magazine
- explosive charge
- Firefly
Let’s start with the advantages; Explosive Rounds cause an area-of-effect detonation on impact, while Firefly sees precision kills that cause the target to explode, dealing solar damage to nearby enemies and giving you a reload speed boost all in one.
These combos are a very satisfying combination, with bodies flying as you take out groups of enemies with a surprising amount of area of effect damage.
