Where to get sugar cane in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The easiest way to get sugar cane in New Horizons is to buy it from Leif when he visits your island or at his stand on Harv Island.
Remember, their stock at Harv’s Island changes every Monday, so if they don’t sell sugar cane, try to visit in a week to see if they have stock.
A single sugar cane start will cost you 280 bells, while bulk purchasing five sugar cane starts costs 1400 bells.

How to grow sugar canes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The first step to growing sugar cane in New Horizons is deciding where to grow it. Like wheat and pumpkins, growing sugar cane will take up a small portion of your island, so you may need to move some items.
Once you’ve found the perfect spot, open your inventory, select your sugarcane home, and choose ‘Floor 1’. By doing so, the sugar canes will be planted and, once this is done, all that remains is to water them.
Sugar cane takes four days to grow and by watering it, you will increase the amount of cane you will receive per plant. Sugar cane will automatically grow without being watered, but will only produce a small crop if you do this.

After harvesting the cane, it will only take two days for it to grow back, and as before, watering it will increase the amount of cane you grow. However, it is not necessary to water any of your crops when it rains or snows.
How to make sugar in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
If you want to produce sugar for cooking in New Horizons, you must first grow and harvest sugar cane.
Then you can make five bags of sugar with five pieces of cane on a stove. You can also use five pieces of sugar to create brown sugar, which is used in different cooking recipes.
