Destiny 2’s A Rising Tide quest provides a community-focused add-on to the Season of the Plunder.
In this quest, Destiny 2’s Guardians collective is asked to contribute treasure to rebuild and improve the Eliksni Quarter, home to pro-human refugees among the Eliksni people.
Initially, advancing the quest required waiting for the Destiny 2 community to donate enough materials to unlock the next steps of the quest, but now all required donations are made and the entire A Rising Tide quest can be completed.

How to complete A Rising Tide in Destiny 2
A rising tide begins as soon as you visit the donation chest in the tower. The overall goal is for Guardians to donate treasure, primarily in the form of Captain’s Coins, into the Donation Chest to fund improvements to the Eliksni Quarter.
While the event itself draws from the entire Destiny 2 community, you will need to complete the individual quest steps yourself to progress. Initially, each step was marked by global giving milestones, but now all of those milestones have been reached and the full mission is now available.
The steps for the A Rising Tide mission are:
- Collect the captain’s coins
- Donate Captain’s Coins
- Visit Improvement I: Cleaning
- Visit Upgrade II: The Aether Tank
- Visit Improvement III: Amenities
- Visit Upgrade IV: Recruits
- Visit Improvement V: Housing
- Visit Improvement VI: Garden
- Visit Improvement VII: People’s Square
Once you have visited the final site, the quest will be completed and you will receive a gift box from the Eliksni Ward for your efforts. It will contain a deep vision resonance weapon, an Eververse engram, glowing dust, or dim light.
Where to go to visit improvements in the Eliksi Quarter in Destiny 2
As you complete the A Rising Tide quest, a host of steps will task you with visiting the various improvements in the Eliknsi neighborhood. Each time you visit one, a button will appear that will complete the step and initiate a short dialogue from Mithrax, describing the improvements.

While the Destiny 2 community may have completed its goal by donating enough treasure, there’s still some incentive for you to continue your donations thanks to some nice individual rewards.
