Location of Sepapa Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Sepapa Shrine is located northeast of Lookout Landing at coordinates 0223, 1084, 0028.

The best route to get there is to leave Lookout Landing through the east exit and take the highway, always heading north whenever possible. You will come across the Yamiyo Shrine, but continue north. Once you pass the Boneyard Bridge, it will take you only a couple of minutes to reach the shrine.

Solution to the Sepapa Shrine puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Sepapa Shrine Backtrack puzzles are built around the Recover skill, so you need to think about how to use the structure’s movement to your advantage. Here’s a breakdown of each section of the sanctuary and how to solve the puzzles:

Sepapa Sanctuary Puzzle 1 Solution

In this initial part of the sanctuary, you can see a platform that moves counterclockwise as it passes through two gaps in a wall. This platform is the only path to the next section, so you must use the Recover skill to make it move clockwise.

For this method to work, you must wait until the platform is about to pass or has already passed the bottom space to use Recall. After that, just make sure you quickly jump onto it and onto the next area once the platform reaches the top.

Sepapa Shrine Puzzle 2 Solution

The second area of this shrine follows the same premise as the previous one, but now your goal is to light two totems with fire to open a door. It is in this part where you will also find the chest of this shrine.

First of all, in case you don’t have one, you will have to pick up the torch from the ground and then wait for one of the wooden planks floating in the water. Make sure you jump on one of these and move the torch once you’re near the totem poles that are already lit in the middle of the water.

Jump off the board and place the torch near the foliage on the wall to set it on fire. Doing so will cause the platform where the chest is located to break, rewarding you with a strong-built arch and giving you access to the treasure.

Once you’ve secured the chest, you’ll need to wait for another wooden plank to pass by, then use Recall on it. Just make sure you hold the torch and spin it again so it lights up when you jump back to the starting platform. Now simply light both totems to access the next area.

Sepapa Sanctuary Puzzle 3 Solution

This is the last part of the shrine and your objective is to reach the statue at the top of the area. The path, however, has two locked gates. To get through them, you must use a sphere that you will find at the top of a series of ramps on the right side of the area and place it in the two holes that you will find between the ramps. The doors remain open as long as the sphere remains in place.

To solve this puzzle, you must first pick up the sphere using Ultrahand and place it once in each of the holes for a short moment. Once you’ve reached the bottom of the ramps, you’ll need to remove the sphere from the holes, placing it to the side.

When you’re ready, use Retrieve on the sphere and run towards the now open doors as the sphere returns to its starting position. You will then be able to access the statue to get your final reward.
