How to find King Dorephan in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To start finding King Dorephan in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to head to the Throne Room in Zora’s Domain. We have marked the exact location of it on the map below and the coordinates of Zora’s Throne Room are (3334, 0536, 0163).
When you get there, you will find that three Zora children are playing there. However, the game is more important than it seems at first glance and you must eavesdrop on their conversation to find the next clue to King Dorephan’s location.
How to listen to Zora Kids in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Now you need to get close enough to the Zora kids to hear their play without being seen. If they see you, they’ll scare you away and you’ll have to find another way to sneak up on them.
As with most things in Tears of the Kingdom, there are probably several ways to eavesdrop on the Zora children without being seen, but this is the way we did it.
Stand outside the Throne Room entrance and look to your left.
You should see a waterfall/stream area here. Climb onto it and follow it to the left, carefully climbing along the ledge where necessary.
In time you will come to a larger and more solid stream. Follow the creek until you get behind the back section of the Throne Room at (3335, 0565, 0161).
Here, turn around to face the Throne Room and you should be able to climb up the back of the Throne so your view looks like this:
Carefully climb up here and slide down to the pool below.
Once you’re in the pool, swim carefully to the pool ledge that’s almost directly behind the Zora kids. When you are close enough to listen, a control message will appear. When this happens, press ‘A’ to eavesdrop on your game and learn more about where King Dorephan is.
King Dorephan’s location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
After listening to the Zora children, you will discover that King Dorephan’s location is somewhere in ‘Clean Water’ between Ploymus Mountain and Zora’s Domain with a secret entrance.
In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, King Dorephan is in Pristine Sanctum. This is east of Zora’s Domain and east of Mipha Court. We have marked the exact location of it on the map below and the coordinates of Pristine Sanctum are (3664, 0598, 0204).
To get to King Dorephan in Pristine Sanctum, head to the waterfall at Lake Mikau (we’ve marked it on the map below to help).
Now this part requires a little stamina. You need to swim through the waterfall.
Once you do, you’ll find a secret entrance to Pristine Sanctum on the other side.
Once you are in this secret entrance area, you will see a waterfall near the back of the area. If you have the Zora Armor, you can simply swim to this waterfall to reach Pristine Sanctum.
However, if you don’t have that armor yet, walk behind the secret entrance waterfall until you’re under a ledge. Then, use Ascend to jump across the floor to Pristine Sanctum.
Once inside the Sanctuary, you will find King Dorephan! Talk to him to get some special items that will help you in the next part of this main story mission.
Now that you have found King Dorephan, you can continue moving forward to discover the regional phenomena affecting Zora’s Domain. If you want a break from the muddy mess, check out our guides on how to get a Golden Horse and how to increase weapon durability.
