The Guardians in Zelda: Breath of the Wild are among the most recognizable (and challenging) enemies in the game.
Guardians are enormous eight-legged machines that stalk the landscape of Hyrule. Their size means you can see them from afar, and if you get too close, they will quickly sneak away and target you with their main means of attack, a laser.
However, there is a way to kill them reliably, easily, and quickly, and doing so is not only beneficial for exploring the more difficult areas of the game, but it is also a way to earn considerable profits and powerful equipment.

How to beat the Guardians easily in Zelda: Breath of the Wild
When you encounter a Guardian, you have about five seconds before the laser locks on and unleashes a powerful beam that will kill you in one hit until you get much more powerful armor later in the game.
While you can go toe-to-toe (or in your case, many toes) with a Guardian and attack with weapons or use bows, there is a surprisingly simple, if difficult to master, technique that makes battle much more fluid. .
By parrying the laser attack with your shield (any shield will work), you can reflect the attack back towards the Guardian and deal massive damage. For stationary and broken Guardians, this will kill them instantly, but more mobile variants will take three hits.
To know the moment, stand in front of the Guardian with your shield raised and wait for it to lock on. The guidance system will beep.
Before the laser fires, there will be energy surrounding the Guardian’s eye, followed by a flash on the screen. As soon as you see the power building, press the A button to stop it.
If you’ve timed it right, and it’s a very small window, the laser will bounce off the blocked shield and hit the Guardian, and you won’t have taken any damage. But if you haven’t, there’s a chance you didn’t survive. It helps to have a safe middle distance, not too close and not too far, so you can react comfortably and time correctly.
If you want a safety net, wait until you’ve completed the Death Mountain Vah Rudiana dungeon to get Daruk’s Protection ability, which protects you from powerful attacks, so if you mess up, you’ll have another chance.
If you’re struggling with the parrying technique, things become much easier when you find a Guardian Shield, one of which can be found as part of completing the Soh Kofi Shrine which is just north of the tower in the Lanayru region. , which can automatically mirror the Guardian. lasers by simply holding the shield up.
Alternatively, Ancient Arrows can kill a Guardian in one hit. Where to find Guardians and why you want to beat them
Why should you master the task of facing Guardians? Two main reasons:
