The PPSh-41 in Warzone, like other submachine guns, is a perfect way to blast your way through firefights in short, powerful bursts.
The PPSh-41, which arrived on April 22, 2021 alongside the Swiss K31, first debuted in Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War at the start of Season 3, and requires reaching a Battle Pass level. specific to unlock it.

How to unlock the PPSh-41 in Warzone
Debuting at the beginning of Season 3, it used to be that you needed to reach Battle Pass level 15 to unlock the weapon. But this changed with the arrival of season 4.
Now, to unlock the PPSh-41, you will have to get 3 kills immediately after racing in 15 different completed matches, using SMG of course.
This is not a complex challenge by any means. Fortunately, SMGs are great for hip-firing and usually have decent aiming speed. In addition to its fast rate of fire, you are likely to take down three enemies in no time.
The problem is that it takes a long time: 15 games is a big number. For this, we recommend following Team Deathmatch playlists and modes like Nuketown 24/7 in Black Ops Cold War, which tend to be shorter.
As usual, if you choose to do this challenge in Warzone, we recommend Plunder mode so you can revive yourself during the game.
Once you have completed the challenge, the game will inform you about your new weapon on the post-match rewards page. From there, head to the equipment tab and equip the weapon in the main slot.
The best Warzone equipment and accessories PPSh-41
As a submachine gun, you can expect the usual plethora of accessories available for the PPSh-41. This is certainly welcome considering some of the weapon’s weaker aspects, from the recoil to the fairly short range.
Below are our recommendations for optimal PPSh-41 loading, as well as the corresponding levels for each:
- Muzzle: Sound Suppressor (unlocked at level 20)
- Barrel: 15.7” Task Force (unlocked at level 48)
- Stock: Raider Stock (unlocked at level 54)
- Ammo: 55 Rnd Drum (unlocked at level 8)
- Rear Grip: Spetsnaz Grip (unlocked at level 41)
While the GRU Suppressor used to be our top pick, we’ve leaned toward the Sound Suppressor after the mid-season updates during Season 3 Reloaded. It provides the PPSh-41 with increased aim-down-and-run-to-fire speed, as well as an improvement in bullet velocity and the usual sound suppression. Your range will be slightly affected, but we will compensate with the following attachment.

This accessory improves your speed while using ADS, as well as your overall movement speed while walking and running time to shoot. Your hipfire accuracy is slightly affected by this, but overall, it shouldn’t make much of a difference.
A submachine gun is always best paired with the largest possible ammo magazine, and that’s where the 55 Rnd Drum comes into play. The increased ammo capacity comes with a caveat, and it’s a hit on reload speed. But you end up making up for this by having a much better chance of defeating your enemy before you have to start thinking about reloading.
Lastly, the Spetsnaz Grip is perfect for mitigating the decline in horizontal and vertical recoil control. It will counter your speed while using ADS and overall shooting movement speed, but that’s what the Raider Stock is for.

Best Warzone PPSh-41 Class Build, Perks, and Loadouts
While the PPSh-41 is a fun and interesting weapon to use, it is still a submachine gun, so the class configuration is within the range of what you would expect from this category.
Here are our picks for the best items, like loadouts and perks, to create the best PPSh-41 class build in Warzone:
- Perk 1: Quick Fix (unlocks at level 42)
- Perk 2: Overkill (unlocks at level 38)
- Perk 3: Expanded (unlocks at level 1)
- Secondary: ZRG 20mm (unlocked by earning 2 Longshot Medals in 10 different matches using sniper rifles)
- Tactic: Stun Grenade (unlocked at level 1)
- Lethal: Frag Grenade (unlocked at level 1)
Since the PPSh-41 doesn’t take long to defeat an enemy, starting health regeneration immediately after with Quick Fix is a great combination. If you’re not sure what to use if you haven’t reached level 41, EOD will help mitigate damage from explosives and non-killstreak shots until then.
As usual, we recommend going for Overkill as your second buff. This time we chose the ZRG 20mm sniper rifle to compensate for the short to medium range nature of the submachine gun.
Of course, there’s a chance you’ll be spotted while shooting or be unable to land a lethal shot, requiring you to stay in position or run toward the enemy. Quickly switching to the PPSh-41 is key, and Amped will make sure the action is as fast as possible.
Finally, we opted for fairly traditional options for both tactical and lethal equipment with fragmentation and stun grenades. As we’ve mentioned, the submachine gun isn’t as powerful at long ranges, so throwing explosives or stunning enemies before launching an attack is a strategy you should consider.
