- Perhaps the most important thing to know is that, unlike Pokémon, you can catch other Temtem Starters later in the game, so you won’t be excluded from trying the others no matter what you decide.
- Another factor worth knowing is the SVs (which are base stats for how strong a potential Temtem can be, like the IVs in Pokémon) for each starting Temtem are fixed and are pretty average. What this means is that these aren’t the best versions of each Starter, and since you’ll be able to revisit them later, they might actually be worth focusing on if you really want to have one as part of your endgame squad. That said, if you’re not into the competitive side of things, this detail shouldn’t worry you too much!
- Additionally, the community consensus is that while Houchic and Smazee are the best to start with, several threads on reddit have revealed that most players remove their starters from their groups shortly after starting the game.
