You need to obtain key cards in Sons of the Forest to open special locked doors that lead to the end of the story.
There are also other useful resources and useful items behind the doors, so it’s good to explore these mysterious bunkers even if you’re not interested in continuing the story yet.

Sons of the Forest Maintenance Keycard Location
You will need to get the shovel first if you want this keycard.
The maintenance card belongs to Carl Planter and is located in the green circle at the bend in the river marked on your GPS locator in the northwest area of the map, south of the river running from the beach.
Use the shovel to dig up the circular area of dirt surrounded by surveying equipment. It will take a little time, but you will eventually unearth a bunker.
Go down the ladder and enter the first small room you find. The maintenance card can be found on the table, to the right of the laptop. You can also use that laptop to make things on the 3D printer next door, like a flask to hold water.
If you leave this room and follow the hallway down, you can also pick up the Fireman’s Axe, the best ax for dealing damage in the game.
Sons of the Forest VIP Card Location
Now that you have the maintenance card, you can use it to get the next one.
The VIP card is located in a cave on the northwest side of the island, marked with a green circle on your GPS locator. It’s just north of the big lake near the beach.
You’ll know it’s the right area when you see two golf carts with vines.
The VIP card belongs to Virginia Puffton and is located right at the end of this bunker.
You will have to go down the hatch inside the cave and then use your maintenance card on the blue card reader next to the shelves.
Continue going through these rooms and you will come to some flooded rooms. Continue moving through the flooded area until you find a flooded hallway with a blue card reader at the end and a door opening to your left.
You will find the VIP card through this door on the left, on a desk with many monitors.

Sons of the Forest Guest Key Card Location
The calling card in Sons of the Forest is located in the green circle on the northwest side of the island, just northwest of the lake that has five rivers flowing into it.
You’ll know you’re close to the bunker when you see a golf cart covered in vines.
Once inside, head to the door at the end of this part of the bunker and use your maintenance card on the blue card reader to reveal a gym.
The guest card belongs to Arnold Crand and is on the next floor, and to get there you must take the first left and then go to the dining room with two stairs. Go up the stairs and continue forward where you will find a disco area.
You’ll find the Guest Card on top of many corpses in one of these booths, on the right side of the room.
Now that you have all three cards, you can use them in any blue card reader to further explore the story. Just keep in mind that you need some other items like the Golden Armor and the Cross to complete the game.
