Pokémon Sword and Shield Persian and Cofagrigus locations explained

Despite what you may think, it’s still possible to add Persian and Cofagrigus to your Galarian Pokédex in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Meowth and Yamask usually evolve into Persian and Cofagrgius.

However, in Pokémon Sword and Shield, both Meowth and Yamask have new Galar forms and new second evolutions; Galarian Meowth evolves into Perrserker, while Galarian Yamask evolves into Runerigus.

How to get Persian in Pokémon Sword and Shield

The first order of business when adding Persian to your Galarian Pokédex is to catch a Galarian Meowth.

You can only find Galarian Meowth on Route 4, which is located just before Turffield.

Location of Meowth from Galar.

Once you have a Galarian Meowth, head to Turffield Stadium. There you will find a boy who wants to exchange his Meowth for a Galarian Meowth.

Accept this trade and then select the Galarian Meowth you wish to trade; in exchange, the boy will give you a normal Meowth.

Now all you have to do is level up this new Meowth to level 28 and unlike any Galarian Meowth, it will evolve into a Persian.

How to get Cofagrigus in Pokémon Sword and Shield

If you want to add Cofagrigus to your Pokédex, you must first catch a Yamask from Galar. You can find Galarian Yamask on Route 6, which is located between Stow-on-Side and Hammerlocke.

Location of Galarian Yamask.

With your new Galarian Yamask in your party or in a box, head to the Pokémon Stadium in Ballonlea.

Inside the Ballonlea stadium, you will find a girl dressed as Eevee who wants a Galarian Yamask.

Agree to trade Yamasks with her and you will receive a normal Yamask in exchange for the Galarian one.

All you have to do now is train this new Yamask to level 34 and it will evolve into Cofagrigus, completing the missing entry in the Pokédex.
