Charged Armor Set Explained in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Charged Armor set, like most armor sets in Tears of the Kingdom, is made up of three parts.

For the charged armor set, each piece increases your attack in stormy weather:

By equipping the entire set, Link will gain the Stormy Weather Charge bonus, which allows you to launch an electric spinning attack.

You will also need to collect the entire set of charged armor if you want to complete the main quest of the Secret of the Ring Ruins, which is part of the story that takes you to the Spirit Temple.

You can also upgrade the armor set by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. Once fully upgraded, each piece of Charged Armor will offer 20 defense.

You will need the following materials and rupees, in total, to upgrade the Charged Armor Set:

  • 9 shock fruit
  • 9 thunder wing butterflies
  • 15 Lizalfos Electric Horns
  • 15 Clash like stones
  • 15 gleeok thunder horns
  • 15 electric darning machines
  • 24 large zone loads
  • 30 Voltfin Trout
  • 2,280 rupees

How to get the loaded shirt in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Charged Shirt can be found inside a Zonai Ruin on the eastern shore of Lake Dracozu in the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower region of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The coordinates for the entrance to this ruin are (0972, -2533, 0009).

If you’re having trouble finding these ruins, walk along the eastern edge of Dracozu Lake and watch for the white glow of the lantern at its entrance.

Once you’ve found the ruins, go inside and open the chest to find the Loaded Shirt. If you are doing the quest The Secret of the Ring Ruins, then in this ruin you will also find Taurus.

How to get the loaded pants in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Loaded Pants can be found inside a Zonai Ruin along the western side of the Dracozu River, approximately halfway between the bridge and Lake Dracozu, in the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower region of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The coordinates for the entrance to this ruin are (0981, -2692, 0007).

Look for the two Black Lizalfos swimming near the entrance to this ruin, and if you’re having trouble finding them, keep an eye out for the glow of the lanterns at the entrance.

When you find the ruins, you will have to destroy the rocks blocking the entrance with a hammer, Bomb Flower, or Yunobo’s Vow, which is obtained by completing the Fire Temple.

Once you’re inside, you simply need to open the chest to get the loaded pants. You will need this piece of armor if you want to complete the main quest of the Secret of the Ring Ruins.

How to get the charged headdress in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Charged Headdress can be found inside a Zonai Ruin on the east side of the southern part of the Dracozu River in the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower region of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The coordinates of the entrance to this ruin are (0969, -2802, 0007).

If you’re having trouble finding it, look for the large dragon head statue at the top of the western river cliff, because the ruins you’re looking for are almost right in front of it. Once again you will be able to see the glow of the lanterns at the entrance.

Look for this dragon head statue.

However, the entrance to this ruin will be blocked by vines, so to enter, you must stand on the opposite bank of the river and set it on fire by fusing a fire attack item, such as a fire fruit with an arrow, and shooting .

Once the veins disappear, you can swim across and open the chest inside the ruins to get the Charged Headdress. If you are working on the main quest of Secret of the Ring Ruins, you will need to obtain this piece of armor.
