Instead of using a QR code, as has been done before with giveaways like the mythical Pokémon Magearna, the distribution event for Latiosite, Latiasite, Altarianite and Ampharosite works like the one for Marshadow, and is addressed by a download code for a mysterious gift.

This is exactly how to download the Mega Stones in question via Mystery Gift:
- Select Mystery Gift from the main menu.
- Select Receive gift.
- Select Get with code/password, then Yes, and then Yes again to connect to the Internet.
- Enter your code.
- Watch how you receive Mega Stones.
- Talk to the delivery person at any Pokémon Center to collect your Mega Stones.
- Make sure you save your game!
When does the Latiosite, Latiasite, Altarianite and Ampharosite mega stone giveaway end?
We finally have an end date for the giveaways and it’s a little closer than we thought. All Mega Stone codes will stop working at 23:59 UTC on October 31, 2017.
While the codes are active, we suggest you download the Mega Stones as soon as possible, because it is definitely worth having access to the Mega Evolutions for Latios, Latias, Altaria and Ampharos anyway.
