Exclusive purple Pokémon

Other version differences between Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Exclusive Pokémon aren’t the only version differences you’ll find in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, although it’s understandably the one that will interest players the most.
Koraidon or Miraidon
The big difference between the two versions of any Pokémon generation are the legendaries on the box, and in Generation 9 the legendary Pokémon are Koraidon and Miraidon.
You will get the respective one at the beginning of the game and it is used to slide, swim, climb and run through the game.

The Scarlet Book and the Violet Book
Beyond the main exclusive Pokémon that you will discover, according to Pokémon lore, there is an exclusive item to the new version, the Scarlet Book and the Violet Book, which will help you locate a Pokémon exclusive to the version.
These Pokémon are Great Tusk in scarlet and Iron Treads in purple. These names are not Pokémon, so it remains to be seen if they will become the Category and reveal their real names at encounter time.

Professors Sada and Turo.
Beyond the Pokémon themselves, the biggest difference is the Pokémon Professor you’ll befriend: you’ll meet Professor Sada in Pokémon Scarlet and Professor Turo in Pokémon Violet. This is the first time that the two versions of a given generation have different teachers.
Both professors are researching the tradition of the Paldea region, but their choice of clothing is quite different. Sada favors a prehistoric look, with a fur trim on her lab coat, and Turo wears a futuristic jumpsuit, which seems inspired by Tron Legacy.
These clothing choices reflect how both games are themed in a different time period; for Pokémon Scarlet, it is the past and, for Violet, the future.
Certain details about the Pokémon Academy you attend will also vary depending on which version you are playing. These differences include the emblem, the uniforms and the name, whether Academia Naranja or Academia Uva.
