Finding Max Mushrooms is the second of three challenges that Master Dojo leader Mustard will ask you to complete.
Like the first one, this one is very easy, but in case you got lost in the Focus Forest or aren’t quite sure what to do, here’s the location of Max Mushrooms, plus where to find Max Mushrooms if you need them to do more. Max Soup also later.

Pokémon Isle of Armor: Max Mushrooms location for the second Dojo challenge
The second Mustard Dojo challenge tasks you with finding some Max Mushrooms for the special Max Soup that the Dojo loves to cook.
As Mustard explained, you’d normally find them in the Focus Forest, but some pesky Skwovet seem to have eaten them all, so you’ll have better luck in the Warm Up Tunnel, just beyond the forest.
How to get through the Focus Forest to Warm Up the Tunnel
The Forest of Focus can be potentially confusing, so here’s how to get through it:
This is the bridge to keep in mind, which takes you to the other side of the forest.
- Head through the Calming Wetlands diagonally to the far left towards the Sea, where you will enter the Focus Forest.
- Cross the first bridge you see in the forest and continue along the path until you see a berry tree.
- Turn left at the tree, then immediately right and follow that path for a while until you see another berry tree.
- At that point, turn left and when you see a bridge on your right, turn left again.
- Further ahead you will see another bridge; Cross it to come out the other side. The entrance to the Warming Tunnel is just across this lot on the back wall.
Once you’re inside the warm-up tunnel, continue straight ahead and stay right at the fork. You’ll see the large red and pink Max Mushrooms on the right side. Interact with them to choose them, but first you’ll face a quick battle with your rival! Remember that your Pokémon’s levels depend on whether you won the Champions Cup in the main story or not.

Where to Find More Max Mushrooms on the Isle of Armor
The Max Mushrooms you choose for the story mission aren’t the only ones on the island! You can choose more to make more Max Soup, which can be fed to any Pokémon whose species can potentially Gigantamax. They can also be used in battle, and if you do, they will increase all of a Pokémon’s stats when you use them.
These will respawn daily in random locations, usually along walls, in caves, in the same way that some hidden items respawn daily. Keep checking each area every day to find more.
