‘Rollback Challenge Champion’ is the latest of the Rollback Challenges special research questlines that have been running in Pokémon Go.
While previous Throwback Challenge missions were themed around a specific region of the Pokémon universe (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh), ‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ focuses more on achieving great feats in Pokémon Go.
It also features a variety of Galarian Pokémon, such as Galarian Meowth, which, like the Alolan Pokémon before them, are forms of Pokémon specific to the Galar region.

How the ‘Knockback Challenge Champion’ works in Pokémon Go, including event date and time
‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ is a unique research mission in Pokémon Go, because it is a paid in-game event similar to ‘A Drive to Investigate’ and is unlocked for free by players who have completed Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Rollback missions.
The research mission ‘Recoil Challenge Champion’ will be available for purchase or unlock between Wednesday, June 3 and Monday, June 8, 2020. It will begin and end at 1:00 pm local time.
If you have not completed the last four throwback challenges, you can participate in this event by purchasing a ticket for its entire duration. Special research will be available to perform shortly after this purchase.
‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ works like the other special research questlines, such as the game’s previous paid event, ‘A Colossal Discovery’.
The quest line will be divided into several steps, each of which contains three individual challenges that you must complete. You will be rewarded for each individual challenge and mission step you complete.
If you are unable to complete the “Recoil Challenge Champion” during the event period, you will still be able to finish the special research after Monday, June 8.
The only restriction is that you must purchase or collect the ‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ before Monday, June 8, or else you will not be able to participate in the questline.

Everything you need to know about the ‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ in Pokémon Go
Even if you don’t participate in the “Recoil Challenge Champion” research mission, there are still a variety of bonuses you can take advantage of throughout this event.
The first is that Gen 5 Pokémon will appear more frequently in Pokémon Go.
Secondly, Galarian Stunfisk will appear both in the wild and in raids. This means you can still add it to your Pokédex even if you’re not completing the “Recoil Challenge Champion” research.
You can hatch Pokémon from the Galar region from 7 km eggs.
Finally, for the duration of this event, 7 km eggs will hatch a variety of Galarian Pokémon and, unfortunately, also their usual forms.

How much does the ‘Kickback Challenge Champion’ cost in Pokémon Go?
If you haven’t unlocked the ‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ by completing the previous challenges, a ticket will cost you £7.99 / $7.99.
The ticket is non-refundable and you cannot purchase it using PokéCoins.
Tickets will be available for purchase from the start of the event at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 3 until 1:00 pm on Monday, June 8. This means that if you haven’t unlocked the research mission, you can purchase a ticket at any time during the event.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! The Halloween event has returned, bringing with it Greavard and Houndstone. Party Play, Pokémon Go’s multiplayer feature, is here, along with the Welcome Party quest. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
How to buy a ticket for the ‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ in Pokémon Go
You can purchase a ticket for the ‘Recoil Challenge Champion’ research quest in the in-game Pokémon Go store.
You can access the game’s sore from the main Poké Ball menu. While in the store, scroll down until you find a ticketed event sign advertising “Throwback Challenge Champion.”
Select “Learn More” below this banner and then the “Buy” option. This will guide you through the steps to purchase entry to the event.
Once this has been successfully completed, you will receive a pop-up informing you that a ‘Throwback Challenge Champion’ ticket has been purchased and is in your item bag.
