Season of Mischief is the fourth season of the game Pokémon Go, and this time it focuses on cheating Pokémon.

What is the Season of Mischief in Pokémon Go?

Seasons are themed periods of the game that bring new updates and events to Pokémon Go, and the Season of Mischief is the fourth to occur.

Throughout the Season of Mischief you will be able to complete a season-long special research quest, titled Misunderstood Mischief, focused on Hoopa. Challenges for this mission will be released gradually as Hoopa’s story progresses throughout the season. Completing the special research story will unlock access to a special event at the end of the Season of Mischief!

This special investigation story will be available from the beginning of the season, Wednesday, September 1 at 10 am (local time), and you won’t have to wait long to see the first Hoopa-themed event!

Although Hoopa has been causing mischief in the world of Pokémon Go since Go Fest 2021, he will make his true debut on Sunday, September 5. This event is currently known as Hoopa’s Arrival and if you complete a specific set of challenges you will be able to encounter Hoopa’s confined form.

According to the official Pokémon Go blog post, the next Hoopa-related events will take place on Wednesday, September 8 and Tuesday, September 21; followed by two events in October and two in November.

The Season of Mischief begins with Lugia appearing in five-star raids from Wednesday, September 1 to Tuesday, September 14. Then, from Tuesday, September 14 to Friday, October 1, you can fight Uxie, Mesprit, or Azelf depending on your region, since these legendaries are regional exclusives.
