Pokémon Go Searching for Legends event quest tasks and rewards explained

The Searching for Legends timed research mission is part of the Searching for Legends event, which is the first in-game event for Seasons of Legends in Pokémon Go.

During this investigation mission, you will find yourself catching a Nosepass and a second Nosepass and then a third Nosepass and then you will get the idea.

If you want to earn all the rewards (i.e. Nosepasses), you need to make sure you complete this quest before it disappears forever at the end of the Searching for Legends event.

How ‘Find Legends’ works in Pokémon Go

Research Missions, which allow players to complete challenges for rewards, were launched in March 2018 and are divided into several categories, including Masterpieces and Timed.

The Legend Quest timed research mission is part of the Legend Quest event in Pokémon Go and runs from Tuesday, March 9 at 10 a.m. (local time) to Sunday, March 14 at 8 a.m. (local time) .

Since Searching for Legends is a timed research mission, you only have until the end of the event to complete this mission. If you don’t, the quest will disappear, taking the rewards with it.

Interestingly, while Searching for Legends consists of seven quest steps, not only do these quest steps contain three challenges, making it the first research quest in Pokémon Go to deviate from this pattern. Still, if you want to earn all the rewards, you must complete all these challenges in order.

Explanation of the tasks and rewards of the ‘Searching for Legends’ mission in Pokémon Go

Below you can find the seven steps, including individual challenges and rewards, for the Legend Quest Timed Research Mission in Pokémon Go.

You only have until Sunday, March 14 at 8 a.m. local time to complete this quest, so if you want all the rewards, be sure to complete it before the deadline.

Tips for completing ‘Finding Legends’ in Pokémon Go

Here are some tips to help you complete the Legend Quest quest in Pokémon Go:

  • When fighting Team Go Rocket, be sure to bring some potions and revives so you can heal your Pokémon after the battle.
  • If you’re having trouble throwing curveballs, try looking for a Pokémon that has a large catch radius, like Mr. Mime.

  • Using Incense will make Pokémon come to you, which is great if you’re having trouble tracking down the Rock and Ground-type Pokémon you need.
  • Using a magnetic lure at a PokéStop will also attract a number of Rock-type Pokémon to your location.

Good luck catching all those Nosepasses!
