Carry! is the first event to highlight Electric-type Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

Not only does this event have exclusive Field Research tasks for you to complete, but there is also Charge Up! research search. However, since this is a timed research mission, you should make sure to complete it before the event ends.

It’s important to remember that this is a timed research mission, so it will only be available during Charge Up! event itself. It will disappear forever once the event ends, taking its rewards with it, so if you’re looking for a specific reward, make sure you get it before the event ends.

‘Carry!’ Step 1 of 4

  • Catch 5 Electric-type Pokémon – Pikachu Encounter
  • Evolve a Pokémon – Encounter with Voltorb
  • Power up Pokémon 5 times: 10 PokéBalls

Rewards: Unova Stone, 10 Mega Ampharos Candies, and an encounter with Tynamo

  • Make 3 good throws in a row: Magnemite encounter
  • Perform 3 Curveball Throws: Magnemite Encounter

Field research tasks and everything you need to know about the Charge Up! event in Pokémon Go

Field research tasks exclusive to Charge Up! will be available by spinning PokéStops through Pokémon Go during the event. You can save these tasks and complete them after the event ends if you wish, but you will not be able to collect them afterwards.

Here are the field research tasks and their rewards for Charge Up! event:

  • Reward for catching 25 Electric-type Pokémon: Tynamo encounter
  • Reward for capturing 5 Electric-type Pokémon: encounter with Pikachu, Voltorb or Joltik
  • Power up Pokémon 5 times the reward: 3 large balls
  • Power up Pokémon 7x the reward: 10 Gengar, Gyarados, or Pidgeot Mega Candy
  • Power up Pokémon 10 times the reward: 10 Ampharos or Manectric Mega Candy

Carry! sees the release of Tynamo and the evolutions of him, Eelektrik and Eelektross, bringing us closer to a complete Gen 5 Pokédex.

Tynamo will be available in the wild, along with other Electric-type Pokémon like Electrike and Stunfisk, and in one-star raids, where you can also battle Voltorb, Shinx, Blitzle, and Klink.

Tynamo, Eelektrik, and Eelektross have now debuted in Pokémon Go.

You’ll also be able to fight Alolan Raichu, Alolan Graveler, Magneton, and Ampharos in three-star raids. While best of all, the Therian form for Thundurus will make its debut in five-star raids.

Remember: you can use a Remote Raid Pass to participate in raids, whether you want!

Carry! Dates and times of events in Pokémon Go explained

Carry! is an in-game event for Pokémon Go that celebrates Electric-type Pokémon.

Both the Charge Up! Timed and field research tasks are only available during the event, which runs from Tuesday, March 16 at 10 a.m. (local time) to Monday, March 22 at 8 p.m. (local time).

Load! The research mission consists of four steps, with rewards for each individual challenge and overall mission step. If you want to earn all of these rewards, you need to make sure you complete Charge Up! research quest before the end of the event itself, because, like all timed research, the quest line will disappear along with the event.
