How the Very Slow Discovery Collection Challenge works in Pokémon Go

Collection challenges in Pokémon Go launched in January 2021 and run in conjunction with certain in-game events. Each Collection Challenge tasks you with finding a specific number of Pokémon, either in the wild, in raids, or through evolution.

Once you have completed the Collection Challenge by capturing all of the required Pokémon, you will be rewarded with a number of items and progress towards your Elite Collector medal.

The A Very Slow Discovery Collection challenge, along with its associated event, will be available from Tuesday, June 8 at 10 am (local time) until Sunday, June 13 at 8 pm (local time).

Collection Challenges can be found in the ‘Today’s View’, accessed by pressing the Field Research button (the little binoculars) in the bottom right corner of the screen.

After accessing the ‘Today View’, you will find the list of Pokémon you need to obtain to complete the Collection Challenge. Once you’ve found one of the Pokémon, it will be marked on the Collection Challenge rooster, helping you keep track of which ones you’ve caught and which ones you haven’t.

Use the collection challenges list to keep track of which Pokémon you need to capture.

Remember: the collection challenge must be completed before the associated event ends and disappears forever.

Good luck completing the A Very Slow Discovery Collection challenge and catching a Galarian Slowpoke!
