It’s literally just using a quick trick to duplicate the contents of your inventory and repeating it until you’re satisfied. No Man’s Sky Exploitation: How to Get Infinite Warp Cells and Atlas Stones Quickly

Here is the process for the exploit step by step:

The developers HATE this clever trick! Etcetera etcetera.

  1. Place the items you want to duplicate in your starship’s inventory.
  2. Save the game. This can be done quickly by docking at a space station: the game automatically saves every time you exit your ship inside a space station hangar.
  3. Board your ship if you haven’t already and head out into open space.
  4. Get yourself killed. The quickest way to do this we’ve found is by attacking a freighter, which draws quite a bit of attention from sentries and turrets. Taking on some pirates is another option.
  5. Once you’ve reloaded, check that your ship inventory is empty (except for fixed items like your Hyperdrive or Sigma upgrades) and that your Exosuit inventory is still full as it was.
  6. Loads the ‘Previous’ save game, not the most recent one. The game automatically saves when you respawn, and more importantly, you want to go back to the save. before your death.
  7. Your ship’s inventory should now be full again, as it was before your death. However, your ‘Grave’ will still appear on the HUD, which is located at the point of your death.
  8. Free up some space in your ship’s inventory (items picked up while on your ship always go to the ship’s inventory, so it needs space) and then head to your grave. We have more information on how to increase ship inventory slots, improve suit inventory slots, and more if you need it.
  9. Passing over your grave will pick up “lost” items from your ship’s inventory, which, combined with the pre-save inventory you currently have, will double what you had before. You will be able to continue collecting items from your grave until you recover your entire inventory.
  10. Sell, discard, or craft any leftover items you don’t need, so you can create more space to collect the rest of your inventory or rinse and repeat the process.

For a little more clarity, our video team has created a little visual aid on how exactly to achieve this:

That’s all! Taking into account that you can duplicate the content of your inventory every time When you perform the exploit, you can quickly turn two Atlas Stones or Warp Cells into four, four into eight, eight into sixteen, and soon you’ll be able to reach the center of the galaxy in a matter of minutes, instead of dozens of hours.
