New Pokémon Snap - Suicune's location, Wish Upon a Shining Star and how to take a four star Suicune photo explained

Suicune is one of the many legendary Pokémon that you can photograph in New Pokémon Snap.

Suicune is also one of the most difficult Pokémon to photograph in the game, because not only do you need to unlock the alternate route for Shiver Snowfields to find it, but it moves very fast.

This can make completing Wish Upon a Shining Star’s LenTalk request and, more importantly, taking a photo of four-star Suciune quite difficult if you’re not prepared.

Suicune’s Location and Wish Upon a Shining Star’s LenTalk Request Explained in New Pokémon Snap

Before you can take a photo of Suicune in New Pokémon Snap, you must first make sure you have fully unlocked the alternate route for both Shiver Snowfields courses.

Once you’ve accomplished this, head to the Snowfields (Night) course at Research Level 2.

Your first task is to use the alternative route to reach the lake and, once there, look for Jynx who is traveling on the back of an Avalugg.

This Avalugg will appear to your right as you exit the cave and will stay inside the lake, swimming to shore before heading north.

To make Suicune appear, you must hit Jynx on her back with Illumina Orbs until she throws her hands in the air. This should only require you to use an Illuminate Orb and a little practice to make sure you hit it correctly.

Throw Illumina Orbs until Jynx throws her arms in the air.

After this action has been completed, turn your attention to the far end of the cliff to your right, which is where Suicune will eventually appear.

Suicune will appear here.

You may find yourself waiting a good number of seconds for Suicune to appear, but as long as you successfully hit Jynx with an Illumina Orb, this legendary Pokémon will make an appearance.

When Suicune appears, he will cross the lake, going ahead of the two Beartics, before crossing the ice and turning left, so that he travels behind the Aurorus near the end of the course.

Taking a photo of Suciune running next to you will result in a photo of a star, which will also help you complete the Wish Upon a Shining Star LenTalk request.

How to take a photo of four-star Suciune in New Pokémon Snap explained

Taking a four-star photo of Suicune in New Pokémon Snap can be a difficult task if you don’t know what to do.

New Pokémon Snap: How to Take a Photo of Four-Star Suicune

First, you need to summon Suicune using the steps outlined above and once it appears, start throwing Illumina Orbs at it. Thanks to how fast Suicune runs, this may take some practice, so don’t worry if you don’t manage to hit Suicune on the first try.

The best place to hit Suicune is right after it has passed the Beartics, because when you run, that will be the closest you will be to the Pokémon.

If you hit Suicune with enough Illumina Orbs, he will stop at the edge of the shore.

Suicune will stop here.

When it does, throw another Illumina Orb to make Suicune walk towards the nearby Delibird.

Once Suicune is close to Delibird, throw one last Illumina Orb at Suicune and he will perform the Blizzard move; Any photo you take of Suicune performing this move will be a four-star photo.

Take a photo of Suicune performing a snowstorm to get a four-star photo.

However, if you’re looking for a three-star image, simply photograph Suicune when it’s near Delibird or feed it a Fluffruit.
