Monster Hunter Rise Ores are one of the many components you will need to build weapons and armor pieces for your hunter and companions.
The activity is simple enough, but knowing where to find specific mineral locations is a different story. From Machalite Ore to Icium, the game doesn’t explain exactly where to find each of them, and most are obtained purely by chance.
That said, this list covers Monster Hunter Rise Ore locations and instances so you know where to start looking for that elusive material.

What are minerals used for in Monster Hunter Rise?
Ore is one of the many items that can be obtained in Monster Hunter Rise, and mainly as items to forge armor and weapons, as well as to upgrade existing equipment.
You’ll mainly find minerals from mining outcrops, which are crystals scattered throughout the game’s areas. You can distinguish them on the map with an icon with a question mark and some small blocks surrounding it.
Once you get close to the glowing crystals, simply press the button and continue moving forward. Keep in mind that you can collect minerals while driving your Palamute.
Where to Find Machalite Ore, Earth Crystal, and Iron Ore Locations
The following are common minerals in low rank:
- Machalite Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (most common in sandy plains, lava caverns, and flooded forests, also seen in shrine ruins and as loot from rock lizards)
- Iron Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (all areas in low rank, also present in high rank)
- Earth Crystal Location: Mining Outcrops (all areas in low rank, also present in high rank)
Where to Find Dragonite Ore and Carbalite Ore Locations
The following are most common in High Rank:
- Dragonite Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (while present in Lava Caverns at Low Rank, you’ll see it more often at High Rank)
- Carbalite Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (all areas as it becomes the equivalent of Machalite Ore Types at high rank)

Where to find Icium, Gracium, Lightcrystal, Clear Crystal and Lightcrystal locations
The following are rarer minerals specific to a low rank area and up:
- Icium Location: Mining Outcrops (Icy Islands, Low Range and High Range)
- Flammable Coal Location: Mining Outcrops (obtained through scorched ore in lava caverns, low rank and high rank)
- Gracio Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (Icy Islands, Low Range and High Range)
- Light Crystal Location: Mining Outcrops (Flooded Forest, Low Rank, and High Rank)
- Clear Crystal Location: Single Item (Orange Icon, Flooded Forest, Low Rank, and High Rank)
Where to Find Fucium Ore, Novacrystal, Firecell Store Ore, and Firestone Ore Locations
The following are rarer and area-specific minerals specifically in high rank:
- Fucium Ore Location: Mining Outcrops (Flooded Forest, most commonly around and inside the pyramid at bottom right, but also around the entire map, high rank)
- Novacrystal Location: Mining Outcrops (flooded forest, most commonly around and inside the pyramid at bottom right, high rank)
- Firecell Stone Location: Mining Outcrops (Lava Caverns, High Rank)
- Firestone Location: Mining Outcrops (Lava Caverns, mainly in High Rank)
