The Turkey earthquake has engulfed the nation in rubble and rubble, with a few survivors and thousands waiting to be rescued.
While Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday admitted “deficiencies” following criticism of his government’s response to the massive earthquake that has destroyed more than 15,000 people in Turkey and Syria.
This enormous scale of the disaster has led to a series of relief operations in the country’s freezing climate.
Survivors desperately search for food and shelter in these atrocious weather conditions, with many remaining silent under the rubble as they cried out for help.
As online criticism mounted against the Turkish authorities’ response to one of the deadliest earthquakes of the century, with a magnitude of 7.8, Erdogan, Turkey’s president, visited one of the worst-affected places, the epicenter of Kahramanmaras, and acknowledged problems in the response.
“Of course, there are deficiencies. The conditions are clear. It is not possible to be prepared for a disaster like this,” he said.
Twitter was also not working on Turkish mobile networks, according to reports and web monitoring group NetBlocks.
