How to create new teams in Like a Dragon Ishin

To create new equipment in Like a Dragon Ishin, you will need to visit a blacksmith.

Then, to create any new basic equipment you will need:

  • Basic equipment: you need it to be able to create something new.
  • Materials: Each item needs a different amount/type of materials.
  • Hammers: These are necessary to make any new equipment.
  • Money – Of course, new things are not cheap, so having a lot of money is essential.

Making new pieces uses one of the existing elements as a base for the new one. So make sure you definitely want to replace the item you’ve chosen to update, there’s no going back after creating the new one.

When you are ready to create a new piece, talk to the blacksmith.

Next, select the ‘Create’ option from the menu that appears and then select which item you want to make.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to select which element you want to use as a base. You will be able to choose between these from your inventory. However, you will only be able to use an item that is the same type as the one you want to create, such as using a Katana as a base to create a new Katana.

Now that you’ve done that, you need to choose the hammer you want to use.

You can also collect materials as you spend time exploring the map and completing sub-story quests. While exploring outside of the main story missions, we found that these were the best ways to get materials for free:

  • Investigating pots with lids
  • Beat up the troublemakers

You can also sometimes win materials by using prize tickets on the Fushimi prize wheel, although you cannot guarantee that you will win the piece you want.

  • golden hammer
  • Kiwami Hammer

Once an item is created, you cannot change its quality, so be selective when choosing which hammer to use.

Stamps in Like a Dragon Ishin

Sigils are the things you use to apply upgrades to your equipment, it’s the item that upgrades them.

Different Seals have different effects and enhance specific parts of an item, so it’s worth taking your time to review the ones you have before deciding which one to use.

There are three classes of Seal, and here they are all in order from lowest level to highest:

You can tell what level a Seal is by looking at the outline of the Seal itself. The bronze will have no outline, the silver will have a gray one, and the gold will have a gold one.

You can stack Seals, which can improve their power and effectiveness. However, if you insert a Seal into a weapon without success, you risk breaking the Seal. The higher the level of the Seal, the more likely it is not to be embedded.
