How to increase star rank in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

To increase your Star Rank in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you must accumulate Pokémon Research Points by completing research tasks and Pokédex entries.

At the end of each survey, you’ll be able to see how many Pokémon research points you’ve earned in the Progress Report section of the Pokédex. These points are then counted so you know how close you are to the next Star Rank.

Once you’ve accumulated enough points to reach a new star rank, visit Captain Cyllene in the Galaxy Hall for an evaluation.

Reaching a new star rank will grant you a selection of rewards, including new items, crafting recipes, areas, increase the amount you earn from survey reports, and ensure that Pokémon at certain levels obey you in battle.

You’ll sometimes need to increase your Star Rank during the game’s main campaign, which you can learn more about in our Pokémon Legends: Arceus walkthrough, so be sure to keep an eye on how many Pokémon Research Points you’ve accumulated.

Fortunately, this is easy to do as the front of your Pokédex records your current Star Rank, how many Pokémon Research Points are required for the next rank, and the total number of points you’ve earned so far.

Our Pokémon Legends Arceus walkthrough will help you choose a starter Pokémon and win the Kleavor boss fight. You are also tasked with filling Hisui’s Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions such as Kleavor by evolving into Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving into Stantler, Sneasler by evolving into Hisui Sneasel, and Overquil by evolving into Hisui Qwilfish. There are a ton of new evolution methods, including some for Eevee evolutions. Take the time to complete Requests too, like The Sea’s Legend, Wurmple’s Evolved! and find Wisp locations. Don’t forget to track all Unown locations as well.
