To find Ganon’s horse in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to head to a small coastal outcrop that’s part of Hateno Bay. This is just southeast of Hateno Village. You can see its location on the following map:
Climb the hill behind Hateno Village to get a good jump point and use your paraglider to descend to the beach. You will see Ganon’s horse almost immediately, as it is significantly larger than the other horse nearby. Be sure to take a photo with your camera for the Compendium.
Note: If you caught Ganon’s horse in Breath of the Wild and still have that file saved on your console, it won’t appear here. You will have to check a stable to see if it is already in your collection.
How to tame Ganon’s horse in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To tame Ganon’s horse in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom you will need just over two full bars of stamina. You can improve your resistance by trading Light of Blessings at Goddess Statues. Alternatively, cook meals that significantly increase your maximum stamina, such as those containing Endura Carrots.
Once you’re sure you have the right stamina to tame Ganon’s horse, you’ll need to sneak up behind him. Consider carrying Stealth Elixirs with you or wearing clothing that increases your stealth stats.
Don’t approach directly behind the creature, as you’ll likely receive a quick kick to the head. Instead, slowly advance from behind, but to the side of the horse, until you see the “Ride” message. Tap ZL to calm him down, until Ganon’s horse stops trying to knock you down.
Tips for riding Ganon’s horse in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Now, it’s important to note that while Ganon’s horse is a very interesting and visually stunning horse in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, riding it can be a real nightmare.
This is due to his wild temperament, which causes him to periodically disobey your instructions. The main thing to do here is to make sure you calm him down with ZL every time he starts pushing you. After a while, your bond will increase (your bond level can be checked at a stable) and Ganon’s Horse will be much easier to control.
The main reason to tame Ganon’s Horse is its high resistance attribute. You can practically use him as a battering ram, as he will smash through enemies without flinching at all. In some circumstances, you can take out large groups of enemies in one go with this method, so be sure to give it a try and ram some Bokoblins when you get the chance.
