Holiday fish were added to the Disney Dreamlight Valley Collection menu during its 2022 holiday update.
Unfortunately, you still can’t get festive fish to complete special holiday tasks like ‘Even Fish Are Festive’, ‘Ho Ho Ho’, or to give to your villagers.
However, we know when the Holiday Fish will arrive and how you’ll get them, so below we’ve put everything we know about how to get Holiday Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

When will the holiday fish arrive at Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Thanks to brave player u/ValleyBilz on the DreamlightValley subreddit who set his system clock forward, we know that the festive fish will be arriving at Disney Dreamlight Valley on Sunday, December 18.
It can be a little annoying when a villager asks you for a festive fish as a gift at this time, but we strongly recommend that you do not travel back in time by setting your system’s clock forward to get the festive fish. This can affect your save when you set it up again, such as not generating resources.

Thanks to the same time traveler, we also know where you can get the festive fish when it becomes available on December 18.
The Disney Dreamlight Valley September Update is here! You can now obtain Beauty and the Beast by completing the quests Into the West Wing and A Prince in Disguise. The Fairy Godmother is still in the valley, so you can continue the story through the Forgotten Memories quest. Now you can also have multiplayer houses and customize furniture. If you’re still catching up on the story, be sure to complete The Great Blizzard quest to unlock Olaf, as well as take Simba and Nala to the valley. How to Get Holiday Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley
When available, the festive fish will appear in the water as green and red bubbles. You simply catch each one in its biome as usual, but u/ValleyBilz on the DreamlightValley subreddit also pointed out that holiday fish cannot be sold and you can only catch one of each type per day.

We know from the game’s collection menu where each of these new fish will appear. Here’s where you can catch all varieties of holiday fish at Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- Festive Monkfish – Forgotten Lands
- Festive Bass – Peaceful Prairie
- Festive Fugu – Dazzle Beach
- Festive Salmon – Sunlit Plateau
- Festive Squid – Confidence Glade
Remember, look for the red and green bubbles to indicate that you will get a festive fish by casting your rod there.
