How to fly, swim, climb, dash and high jump in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The ability to fly, swim, climb, and run in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is locked at the beginning of the game.

Finding these abilities for the legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon will allow you to explore the world much more easily and find new discoveries.

The good news is that they are all on the critical path towards the end of the game, assuming you hope to tackle all three stories, and all of these abilities will unlock as you complete Path of Legends.

To unlock new abilities for Koraidon and Miraidon, you must play the Path of Legends story.

This allows you to find and defeat five titans in the quest for Herba Mystica, with each titan granting you a unique ability.

The skills and titans needed to unlock them are as follows:

Our best Path of Legends order can recommend the best order to tackle them, but essentially, the above is broadly what you should aim for, especially since one, False Dragon, requires you to swim first.

Of course, if you want to unlock a specific skill first (arguably the most useful are swimming, flying/gliding, and climbing), then you can jump to whichever one you choose. But you should know that you may have to level up a little first!

Our The Teal Mask walkthrough will help you complete the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, but make sure you know how to start it first. When visiting Kitakami it is a good idea to know how to get Sinistea, Dipplin and The Loyal Three. Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can take you through the main campaign, including The First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and, when you’re ready, The Way Home and the final boss. Elsewhere, we can help with the normal gym test secret item menu, version differences, the best scarlet and violet starter, XP farming, shiny Pokémon, and learning to fly, swim, climb, and run. When it comes to individual Pokémon, we can help with Gimmighoul, Ditto, Bellibolt, Pawmot, Scovillain, Frigibax, Brambleghast, Annihilape, Farigiraf, Dudunsparce, Lycanrock, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.
