How to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Evolving Pawmo into Pawmot in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be tricky if you don’t know what to do.

You see, Pawmot is actually one of the special evolutions of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, meaning it can’t evolve by simply leveling up like most Pokémon.

This is the level where Pawmi evolves into Pawmo and then what you need to do to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot. You’ll also find information on where to get Pawmi and Pawmo if you haven’t caught them yet.

Where to find Pawmi in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Firstly, let’s take a look at where you can find Pawmi in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They are located in the southern part of the map. You can see their habitat in the image below:

Fortunately, this is the area you first come to while playing. On your way to school, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to catch Pawmi as they walk around the map. If you’d rather go straight to Pawmo (Pawmi’s evolution), check out the habitat map below and catch one.

At what level does Pawmi evolve into Pawmo?

Pawmi will evolve into Pawmo at level 18. You can use the Auto Battle feature to speed things up, or battle trainers and catch Pokémon to earn XP.

Our The Teal Mask walkthrough will help you complete the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, but make sure you know how to start it first. When visiting Kitakami it is a good idea to know how to get Sinistea, Dipplin and The Loyal Three. Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can take you through the main campaign, including The First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and, when you’re ready, The Way Home and the final boss. When it comes to individual Pokémon, we can help with Gimmighoul, Ditto, Bellibolt, Pawmot, Scovillain, Frigibax, Brambleghast, Annihilape, Farigiraf, Dudunsparce, Lycanrock, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.

How to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

To turn Pawmo into Pawmot, you will need to use the Let’s Go system in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Place Pawmo in the top slot of your party, then press ‘R’. This will expel Pawmo so he can walk beside you as you move forward.

Pawmo will evolve after you have walked 1000 steps while they are outside through the Let’s Go mechanic. Unfortunately, there’s no way to check your progress, so keep them away from the ball while you explore. You will then have to level up Pawmo to activate the evolution into Pawmot.

That’s everything you need to know about Pawmo’s evolution in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Make sure to use the Let’s Go feature regularly and then consider using a rare candy to activate the evolution.
