The evolution of Hisuian Qwilfish allows you to add Overqwil to your Pokédex in Pokémon Go.
Overqwil debuted in Pokémon Legends Arceus, and although there is a different evolution method than in Pokémon Go, there are still some obstacles to overcome.
Both Pokémon share the same type, Dark and Poison, and debuted during the Hisuian Discoveries event in July 2022.

How to evolve Hisuian Qwilfish and get Qwilfish in Pokémon Go
If you want to turn a Hisuian Qwilfish into a Qwilfish in Pokémon Go, you will need to collect 50 Qwilfish Candy and then win 10 raids while they are your Buddy Pokémon.

Hisuian Qwilfish debuted during the Hisuian Discoveries event, where it could be found in the wild and incubating 7km eggs for the duration.
Next, let’s discuss Candy’s evolution requirement. Candy is mainly obtained by catching Qwilfish or Hisuian Qwilfish (they share the same candy groups), with the possibility of obtaining more by using Pinap Berries and/or by having an active Mega Evolution that shares the same dark and poisonous type (such as Mega Houndoom, Mega Gyarados, Mega Absol, Mega Venusaur, Mega Beedrill or Mega Gengar) while trapping.
You can also get candy by hatching Qwilfish in eggs, walking Qwilfish as your friend to get extra candy, or completing any relevant field research that has them as a reward.
The second requirement is to have the Hisuian Qwilfish as your friend and then win a total of 10 raids. They don’t have to participate in those raids, they just have to be your friends for the duration.
This can be tricky, but there are some events that allow you to speed through several raids in quick succession. If you play during the July 2022 Hisuian Discoveries event, there will be a Hisuian Braviary raid day on Sunday, July 31 (with five free raid passes offered by spinning Gym Photo Discs), and beyond that, you’ll participate in a raid hour that will take place every Wednesday between 6 pm and 7 pm local time.
The Season of Adventure Abundance is here! You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
If you prefer to take your time with this requirement, remember that you only need Hisuian Qwilfish as your friend. during the raid, that is, if you prefer to exchange it for another friend who you are leveling with in the intervening hours, days or weeks, then you can do so.
Then, once you have completed 10 raids and have 50 Qwilfish Candy, you can evolve. Enjoy your new Overqwil!
