How to evolve Floette into Florges in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Evolving Floette into Florges in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet isn’t as simple as leveling up.

This is because Floette is a special evolution in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and requires a certain item to evolve.

Here’s how to turn Floette into Florges, as well as information on where to catch a Flabébé and Floette in the first place.

Where to find Flabébé in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

First, let’s take a look at how to catch Flabébé, the first Pokémon in this evolutionary chain. You can check its habitat below:

We recommend heading to the small island off the eastern coast of Paldea. It is so small that finding Flabébé is much easier.

Our The Teal Mask walkthrough will help you complete the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, but make sure you know how to start it first. When visiting Kitakami it is a good idea to know how to get Sinistea, Dipplin and The Loyal Three. Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can take you through the main campaign, including The First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and, when you’re ready, The Way Home and the final boss. Elsewhere, we can help with the normal gym test secret item menu, version differences, the best scarlet and violet starter, XP farming, shiny Pokémon, and learning to fly, swim, climb, and run. When it comes to individual Pokémon, we can help with Gimmighoul, Ditto, Bellibolt, Pawmot, Scovillain, Frigibax, Brambleghast, Annihilape, Farigiraf, Dudunsparce, Lycanrock, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.

Now that you have a Flabébé, you can level it up to level 19 to get a Floette. Alternatively, simply head to one of the locations shown below and capture one.

Finally, to turn Floette into Florges you will need to use a Shining Stone. There are a couple of ways to get one of these, the first is to catch 150 Pokémon and then register them in your Pokédex. If you prefer to find a glowing stone in the wild, head to the location shown on the map below:

Head to the top of the waterfall located in the Southern Province (Area Six). You will find a small pond, with a red object along its banks. This is a shiny stone!

Now all you need to do is use Shiny Stone on Floette. It will evolve in Florges.
