Finding the locations of the sundial, oversized coffee mug, and giant dog head is the goal of one of Fortnite’s many weekly challenges.
Completing it will give you additional XP to help you get many Season 7 rewards.

Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection, and Eren Jaeger skin. It’s a good idea to know how to get XP quickly in Fortnite.
Fortnite Sundial Locations, Oversized Coffee Mug, and Giant Dog Head at a Glance
For the Week 9 challenges, you have the following task, which unlocks in sequence:
- Stage 1: Dance on a sundial
- Stage 2: Dance on an oversized coffee cup
- Stage 3: Dance on top of a giant dog head
Here are the locations of the sundial, oversized coffee mug, and giant dog head at a glance:
First, you don’t have to worry about whether or not this needs to be completed in one match, obviously, since unlike most other challenges, you only need to do it once.
Secondly, you may be wondering how to dance if you are new to the game. To do this, open the emote wheel (D-Pad on console or press B on PC) and then select an emote that makes your character dance. A popup will appear on your screen when you’ve successfully danced on one, so you’ll know when it works!
Here are their locations in more detail…
Fortnite Sundial Location
You will find it in the southeastern desert area, specifically on a mountain west of the oasis.
You’ll want to land on it from a glider, so do it from the start of a game or from a plane.
Land on top and dance, and in the next match, prepare for the location of the Oversized Coffee Cup.
Fortnite Oversized Coffee Mug Location
Where on the map do they serve coffee? In a restaurant, of course, one of which is located on the north side of Dusty Divot.
You will find it at the back, next to the parking lot. It’s low enough that you can turn it up if you want, although it’s always easier to get down there at the start of the match.
However you get there, dance and the next match will be the Giant Dog Head location.

Fortnite Giant Dog Head Location
This is at the south end of Junk Junction: a giant dog’s head made up of scrap pieces, suspended from the end of a crane.
Like the Oversized Coffee Cup location, it’s elevated enough that all you need is a quick build to get to it.
Keep in mind that the amount of space you have is very small, so make sure you don’t lose it if you slide in, and if you get it in the first week, expect it to be a little tight.
You should also dance on the dog’s head and not on the yellow crane; that does not count.
Once you have it, dance and this three-part challenge will be complete. Well done!
