Fortnite’s alien invasion isn’t over, and here’s how and where to place spy probes to complete a legendary challenge in Season 7.
Place Spy Probes is the sixth and final of the Week 9 legendary missions in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
As in recent weeks, the first mission in this set involves using one of the payphones on the Fortnite map, and is followed by the task of equipping a detector, then disabling an alien billboard in a match, as well as Collect resources in Holly Hatchery, eliminate intruders, and place a bioscanner in an alien biome.
This is a pretty simple challenge, but the exact locations are somewhat scattered throughout the map. Fortunately, you only need to place Spy Probes a total of three times, so it won’t take you long to get to grips with our guide after knowing exactly where to go.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 30k XP, which will help you unlock more Battle Stars for the Season 7 Battle Pass.
Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! Explanation of where to place spy probes in Fortnite
There are a total of eight different points spread across the western and southern edges of the Fortnite map. Remember, you only need to place three spy probes, so you can choose depending on where you choose to land from the battle bus.
You can find the locations at a glance below:
The first is located southeast of Defiant Fish, which is the IO Base where Rick Sanchez is located.
There is another one northeast of Hydro 16, just on the side of the road before entering the bridge.
If you close that bridge to the south, you will see another place next to the facility with the vending machine. It is just before the cliff on the high ground on the right side of it.
Finally, there is a third place in the south house of the area. You can place a Bioscanner on the other side of the backyard fence on the right side of the house.
Continue south to come across another location on the left side of the big house next to the frozen terrain on the map.
If you are near Weeping Woods, you can find a place to deploy a probe next to a rock, southwest of the two houses in the center and northeast of the bridge.
There is another one east of the factory that is southeast of Slurpy Swamp, overlooking the factory itself.
Lastly, there is another spot at Flopper Pond, a little south of the pond.
That should be it! While there are plenty of options, remember that you only need to place three spy probes, so head to the closest locations to finish this quickly.
