Collecting cat food is one of the steps of the legendary mission in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
Appearing during Week 3, and after placing alien communication devices on mountain tops, this step allows you to collect two cans of cat food in two locations: Retail Row and Dirty Docks.
Luckily, there are 4 in total to find, giving you a double chance to do it in one go if you land in one of the aforementioned locations.
Completing this Fortnite challenge will help you level up, so you can earn more Battle Stars by unlocking Season 7 Battle Pass skins.
Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! Retail Row Cat Food Locations in Fortnite
There are two cat food locations on Retail Row and they are surprisingly close to each other. This is useful considering that the location will most likely be crowded with other players, so knowing the exact spot to land from the bus is key.
Start by landing on the north side of Retail Row, right at the top center of the right side if you’re looking at the map. You will see a big truck and graffiti on the wall: that is the right place. You can find a box with cat food against the wall, just before the door.
From there, break the door with your pickaxe and enter the store. About halfway down the aisle you’ll find another box of cat food against the wall next to the shelves.
Remember: you only need two cans of cat food. If you manage to land here and follow our steps, you will be ready.

Dirty Docks Cat Food Locations in Fortnite
If you land at Dirty Docks, which is another popular location, you’ll want to head to the container area. If you’re looking at the map, it’s the place with the icons that look like tetrominoes.
In the southern half, from the main road of Dirty Docks, turn right towards the container area and you will see cat food stored in a box between a container and some cargo.
From where you are, head east in the container area towards the UFO park and you will see a similar scene with cat food between the cargo and another container waiting to be picked up.
Again, you only need to collect two cans of cat food, so you should be ready for Week 3’s legendary quest!
From here, the mothership can kidnap you for some useful loot, as it will usually be wandering around the area.
