Fortnite is under alien attack in season 7 and anyone could be the enemy. Just to be sure, here is the location of the body scanners.
Getting on a body scanner is the second step of the Week 2 legendary missions in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
In addition to the task of interacting with a dead spot in Weeping Woods, you’ll need to find a body scanner to confirm that you’re not an alien, as you can never be too sure.
Finding a body scanner and activating it will reward you with 30k XP, which is useful for unlocking new Season 7 Battle Pass skins and other off-world cosmetics.

Body scanner locations in Fortnite explained
First of all, it’s worth mentioning that you only need to find and use a body scanner to complete the challenge. That being said, there are seven different locations on the Battle Royale map and all of them are linked to the new IO bases.
Most of them are close to designated locations, but others are quite far from the usual landing sites. You will be able to detect them from afar thanks to the red light that comes from the satellite beacon.
At IO bases you will also find IO guards and IO tech weapons, which are not only deadly, but also useful for later steps of the Week 2 legendary quest line.
The tricky thing is that body scanners are not exactly noticeable at first glance. You may be tempted to look for them within the bases themselves, but they are actually located within outdoor outposts. As soon as you see one with a computer desk, that’s where you’ll find the body scanner, usually on the same floor or room as said empty desk.
To activate the scanner, all you have to do is step on it and the challenge will be over.

Where to find a body scanner quickly in Fortnite
There are several locations where you can complete this challenge, which is a nice change of pace, but some are quite close to locations with popular names where other players often land as well.
Based on our experience, we thought going for the most remote location possible would be the safest bet. In this particular case, that is the IO base southeast of Misty Meadows.
The location is on the southern edge of the map, and there is even a huge mountain that you can use as cover while you descend with your glider.
As soon as you set foot on the ground, you will see the base and some places outside. The place you want is the small square-shaped outpost at the end of the path in the opposite direction from the base.
Once you enter, you’ll notice a blue scanner on the floor in the left corner; stand on it for a second or two and the challenge popup will appear on the screen.
Remember that in case you land somewhere else, you can complete the challenge at any other body scanner on the map. Just be careful of running into other players who had the same idea as you!
