How to make Tifa fall in love in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
You must have Tifa as your highest relationship level with Cloud during Chapter 8 and Chapter 12 to romance Tifa in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This ensures that you will be able to experience a mini date and a larger date during both visits to the Gold Saucer.
There are many different ways to level up your relationship with Tifa in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, including:
- Choose the best dialogue options.
- Complete all of Tifa’s side quests.
- Unlock and use all synergy skills and abilities between Cloud and Tifa.
- Get a featured performance during the Junon Parade.
- Combine Cloud’s bathroom style with Tifa’s on the Costa del Sol.
- Choose Tifa when prompted on the beach on the Costa del Sol.
Almost as important as raising Tifa’s relationship level is to avoid leveling up other characters’ relationships too much before Chapter 8 and Chapter 12. If you don’t, you risk choosing another character in the Gold Saucer dates. instead of Tifa. This means that you may want to avoid doing all the side quests until later and deliberately choose the “bad” dialogue options when talking to anyone other than Tifa.

Your goal should be for Tifa’s relationship bar to turn blue and for her to have more rings around her than everyone else. If you have another character with a relationship of the same color and number of rings, the person you are closest to deepening your relationship with will be the one Cloud goes on a date with.
Below, we detail all the dialogue choices you need to make when speaking to Tifa, how the swimsuit choice works, and explain when and how each Gold Saucer quote occurs.
All Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Tifa Romantic Dialogue Options
There are six important conversations you have with Tifa throughout the game that can help you make her fall in love with you if you choose the right option. Choosing the neutral option can also slightly improve your relationship with Tifa, but there is always an option that helps more.
Here are the best dialogue choices you can make if you want to romance Tifa in Final Fantasy 7:
Tifa’s dialogue choice in Kalm
Your first romantic dialogue choice from Tifa occurs in Kalm during Chapter 2, right after talking to Red XIII and getting an explanation of the relationship. She asks if the tank above reminds you of anything, and Tifa’s best dialogue choice in Kalm is, “The place where I made that promise to you.”

The next conversation with Tifa occurs at the Under Junon Inn in Chapter 4, after fighting the Terror of the Deep boss. She asks if you remember a boy named Emilio, and Tifa’s best dialogue choice in Junon is: “The only person in town I remember is you.”

The next important chat happens right at the beginning of Chapter 7, after the fight with the Gastropod miniboss. He sees and talks to Tifa at the bar, who says that it seems like years have passed since Seventh Heaven. Tifa’s best dialogue choice on the Costa del Sol is: ‘A lot has happened since then.’

Tifa’s dialogue choice in Gongaga
Another important conversation about Tifa occurs when you arrive at Gongaga’s village during Chapter 9. She asks what kind of things Cloud would like to eat, and Tifa’s best dialogue choice at Gongaga is “I’ll go with the barbecue.”

Tifa’s Swimsuit Choice from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
During Chapter 6 on the Costa del Sol, you participate in a variety of mini-games to earn special currency and purchase different swimsuits. You can purchase both options for Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith to wear while exploring the Sunshine Coast and certain parts of Corel later, but you must match Tifa’s outfit with Cloud’s the first time you put on a swimsuit to boost the Tifa’s relationship.
You should also make sure that Aerith doesn’t match with Cloud if you don’t want to improve your relationship with her. For example, if Cloud wears her revealing swimsuit, he dresses Tifa in her revealing swimsuit and Aerith in her more covered-up swimsuit.

So depending on what Cloud wears, here’s what Tifa’s swimsuit will choose in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth:
- If Cloud is wearing the Wild Surf Swimsuit without a shirt, choose the Shining Spirit Swimsuit for Tifa.

The first mini date with Tifa occurs during Chapter 8 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, in Gold Saucer. Without spoiling anything, as long as your relationship with Tifa is the highest in your group, she will knock on your room door at some point during Chapter 8 and start a little date.
However, the full date with Tifa does not occur in Gold Saucer until Chapter 12.

The entire date with Tifa in Gold Saucer occurs during Chapter 12 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Once again, we won’t reveal anything important, but you’ll know you’re about to embark on your date with Tifa when she knocks on Cloud’s room door again.

If it’s not Tifa you see when Cloud opens the door, then you’ll have a date with that person (or dog…). If this happens, don’t worry too much, as you can repeat the Gold Saucer date with whoever you want after completing the game once, by entering the new additional settings in the menu.
